View Full Version : Incredibly Innovative Idea
What if regular season averages were derived by taking the player's totals and then dividing them by the total games their team played? That would really help show just how much the player helped their team in that season. After all players are paid to play the entire season.
I speculate this would also cut down on load management.

But that defeats the whole purpose of individual stats, which is to gauge individual skill and accomplishments.
I agree that load management is disgraceful, but I don't see how this is a good way to fix the problem.

In an era like this where guys are flaking its not a bad idea but it would unfairly penalize players who are legit injured. I kind of like it though.
