Insanely underrated. Too bad the craziness overshadowed how good he really was especially in his prime/peak.

In five games he averaged 22 on 40%fg against Artest which is basically a single point more than his normal averages for Washington but on a significantly lower percentage.

His man to man defense was GOAT. Only Kawhi Leonard is on his level.

His offense just sucked, poor shot selection and poor effiency. That kept him from ever being an elite top 5 player, although he was very close during his 2006 kings run.

Artest was always a huge Jordan fan and in a recent interview he told about an old Jordan dropping 40 on him which never happened because he wasnt playing in that game because of a suspension.



The game took a toll on the Pacers, who played in New York the
night before. Indiana was without forward Ron Artest, who was
suspended for three games without pay and fined $35,000 by the NBA
on Saturday for hurling a television monitor and smashing a camera
to pieces following the loss to the Knicks.
