Kawhi and Jordan are the best at that, just like their the best at everything in basketball.

Kawhi has the ability to bump you off and use his height/length to get off a mid range shot whenever he wants.

Jordan does the same but with his goat elevation as well.

Dirk also shot over 50% on long twos for 8 years during his career also. He pretty much owned from 16-23 feet also. And that was while shooting 5+ shots from there a game.

His favorite range has been the one least-favored by modern analytics: the 16-24 foot range, where he's drilled 3484/7364 shots (47.3%)

Not really if you watched them both play. MJ could get to his spots easier and had better separation due to his superior athleticism and offensive arsenal. The only thing Dirk has over him is height.

Jordan was shooting over opponents easy even in his last days as a Wizard. He just measures you up and shoots over you even against the best young defenders at the time. Obviously lost a ton of athleticism but he just leans back on his fadeaway more just like Dirk.

Actually kills your argument. Dirk is flat out worse than Jordan at creating shots, yet he still is close to jumper Jordan on mid-ranges. It drives home the point.

Dirk is just a better pure shooter from anywhere, anyway. Kind of obvious thread.

This is the main point. And because he's 7 feet, he's purer from midrange too.

Most of the other great pure shooters couldn't get into the middle like that.

MJ has an all time elite first step which he uses to create good looks- better looks than Kobe or Dirk can get normally. Dirk just shot over guys, even elite defenders with length like Kevin Garnett.
