Nba trend of player coaches

Most nba teams have them. Is this good? Thoughts?

It's tricky because LeCoach sets such an insanely impossibly high standard for player coaches, that the rest end up looking bad by comparison. But it doesnt mean theyre necessarily bad in comparison to other options. Obviously every team cant be coached by LeGeneral.

Also, I'm not sure how much of a trend the notion is. Phil Jackson, Rick Carlisle, Doc Rivers, Pat Riley, Rudy T among others were NBA players. It's always been pretty common for players to go into coaching.
