He'll fit right in age-wise.

Isn't he the 6th all star on the Lakers now though? Has there ever been a six all star team before?

I'm as big a Laker hater as anyone, and wish them nothing but abysmal failure....however, you can't blame them for trying to stack their team. I mean, if you're part of team management, that's kind of your job - to get the best players that you can.

Maybe he was just a bad fit, and not being 'used' right, but Rondo wasn't very good last year.

And in the playoffs, he was even worse.

Wondering if this was a familiarity/glue guy pickup. Otherwise, I don't know what Rondo has left.

Lakers will need these veterans. Odds are they will have injuries to their older guys. It doesn't hurt to have guys that can ball out when needed.

He has been terrible since 2019 and not even rotation player level.

However, in 2020 bubble playoffs he performed like nearly an all-star off the bench.

So it's hard to tell if the bubble was just circumstance or fit. He even made 3's in the bubble. 2019, 2020, 2021 regular seasons he was terrible and 2021 playoffs he was unplayable.

The 2013 Lakers had Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, Ron Artest, Pau Gasol, Dwight Howard and Antawn Jamison. Bad thing about it was that they were all past their prime, something similar to the current Lakers' situation.

He was upset early in free agency when nobody wanted to join the spurs :lol

I hate when people keep using this team as an example, you are aware that team went through 2 brand new coaches in 1 year and started off 15-21. No one talks about the tear they went on to end the season and finish 45-37. If Kobe doesn’t get hurt in the 80th game that team is doing some damage in the playoffs. Kobe was playing insanely at another level and that was the last time Kobe was actually Kobe.

You do have an agenda Manny don't deny it.

You went from being a Lebron fanboy to being a Lebron hater in the space of a year.

But why did this occur is the real question for me.

I'm not a LeBron hater, I think he's the GOAT alongside MJ and Kareem and his 2012 season is arguably the GOAT peak

I just don't suck him off 24/7 anymore like his pathetic stans

That's true of the 2013 team. Anthony Davis is still in his prime.

Lakers were 2-1 before Anthony Davis was injured. Current Lakers team are a better offensive team than the 2021 Lakers.

Rondo for sure. Lakers with the offense they have do not need another substandard shooter. Rondo is a pass first high IQ guard which is excellent and quite rare these days.

He’s past his prime. Just a solid veteran bench PG. But the league is so lame with dudes going to the same teams. Be it past prime vets or guys taking less than market value.
