Rajon Rondo is an old PG who could never shoot even in his prime, and at this point he can't even drive to the basket. Rondo has actually had about 2 good games in 3 seasons (in the playoffs season before last). "Playoff" Rondo no longer exist.
So maybe someone can enlighten me, what do people see in Rondo? I've never liked his game.

He did a lot of little things for the Lakers in 2020 when they were very short on playmaking. He's not a non-shooter, and he's so good at moving himself and the ball that the normal problems inherent to being a bad shooter off the ball don't always apply to him.

He’s a smart player.

He would have been perfect for the Warriors. A lot of young guys have talked about him teaching them a ton during the season throughout the years.

He was horrible with the hawks, clippers. He was horrible with Lakers in 2019/20 reg seasons as well. He finally played good in the bubble and is pretty much living off that, his career would be over right now if it wasn't for his bubble playoff play.

It's funny that Lebron has the rep of reducing the players around him when that's been the story of Kawhi since he's joined the Clippers. I can't think of one Clippers player who has looked better playing alongside Kawhi.

Well you have aids, Charlie sheen. So i guess you don't see a lot of things. Go look at the raptors 2019 championship banner that had nothing but role players on the roster.

But, I specifically said the Clippers because that's where I've watched most of his games

Reggie Jackson was having a career year in the playoffs until Kawhi's injury.
Paul George also was eliminated in the 1st round every year from 2015-2021 until he was on Kawhi's team.
The rest are mediocre role players or bench warmers getting trusted into big roles like montrezl harrell.
Hawks were actually like below .500 with Rondo and then about a 70% winning team without him and went to the ECF, blaming Kawhi for his washed up ass hahahaha
Rondo was also terrible with lebron up until the bubble where he finally made jump shots for the first time in his career. I credit the bubble and also playing with his best buddy Anthony Davis, definitely not lebron. Lebron usually plays terrible with ball dominant point guards who can't shoot like Rondo.

Intelligence buddy. The game is 70% mental and Rondo is a very smart player. The problem is he's a old school tough player in an era that's p*ssy as hell

This is basketball, not boxing or MMA...his "toughness" is , somebody needs to teach that fker how to shoot a jump shot!

Being "loaded" means you have multiple all-stars or players in their prime, the Lakers have NAMES. Howard hasn't been good in 10 years, Anthony averaged 12PPG a game last year, There's players in the G-LEAGUE better then Rondo, Marc Gasol should have retired 2 years ago. Nunn, Ellington, Monk are role players, everybody has those.

Spoken like a true millennial. Basketball is a contact sport or at least it's supposed to be. Toughness matters little buddy

Mental toughness. Not falling apart mentally when everyone is dying physically. Rondo played multiple games after Dwade destroyed his elbow, and was still able to do his job. That means something.

Most everybody has said why. Mainly at this stage its his basketball IQ. He is older now but look how long he has lasted and still is a decent backup point guard for any team.
