They got Howard and Rondo back, albeit older and on maybe last legs.

Is this Westbrook experiment actually going to work?

Yes. Forget about howard and rondo. monk, nunn and westbrook are an upgrade from what they lost. Horton tucker will be a year older and more of a factor also. All we heard from yall last year is how useless pope, kuzma, Dennis, caruso, Drummond and gassol were. If they were as bad as everyone claimed Surely what they picked up can't be any worse:confusedshrug:

KCP is good.

KCP is good.

He was 6/3/1 on 38%fg and 21%3pt in the post season last year. I'm not saying he sucks but there's no way anybody they just picked will perform worse than that.

He did suck in the postseason but role players are pretty hit and miss a lot of the time. He was huge in the 2020 playoffs. One of my favorite teammates LeBron’s had tbh.

5 game sample size :lol He was their 3rd leading scorer during their title run and their 4th best player after Rondo

And generally their 3rd best that year. Rondo got hot at the right time but as we saw this year that’s hardly a guarantee. KCP will always give you good defense and spacing regardless of whether his shot is falling.

nope, and you can bet your bottom dollar on it

second round exits at worst, WCF exits at best

I here u dude i actually like him. It was mostly bron stans killing him last year. He was definitely better during their chip run in 20 but let's not get carried away. In 30 min of play he was 11/1/2 on ok efficiency. He was pretty good defensively though.

Well we only have 2 post seasons with lakers for a sample. In the the other post season in he was 11/1/2 on 42% fg and 38% 3pt in 30 min. Thats definitely better but it's not like that's not replaceable. Tucker, nunn and especially westbrook can contribute that no problem next year. The topic at hand isn't if pope is good it's is who is coming in as good or better.

It wasnt about rondo getting hot it was his defense on harden thats why they beat rockets so easily

This, never seen so much HOF level talent on a single roster

Our bench is garbage

Lakers have 3 future HOF coming off the bench plus budding all stars in Malik Monk and THT

Harden is not better than a healthy AD either

Despite the potential of their lineup, the nets haven't proven themselves yet as championship contenders last time. Although yes, injuries had to ruin it for them so maybe they'd be given a pass for that but they're not like that lakers that still won even in a crappy bubble season.

They are still worse than their 2020 version without a doubt.

Again, it also doesn't matter too much since a heathy Nets team wins this year and would also beat the 2020 Lakers.
