If LMA rejoins the nets, then that will be even more of an overkill. We haven't seen a fully healthy nets though yet.

well we now know before the season starts who will be in the championship series...

Why have a season and playoffs ???
Just have a Bucks corral and have the Bucks get their rings in front of 100,000 + people , and then
have the Nets play the Lakers to end the season before x-mas.
That way we all can buy our Nets or Lakers championship t-shirts or hats.
This league needs to get fixed ... this is bull shIt.

We're almost as stacked as the Lakers

Yeah... Prime Kyrie, and two of the greatest scoring talents of all time, who are both 32... vs 37(in December) year old LeBron, coming into prime AD, and 3 teams in 3 seasons almost 33 year old Westbrook.

There is a clear disparity here... But, maybe the Lakers bench fares a little better than it did last season? I'd actually say it is pretty close... I'm hoping for zero injuries for any teams the entire season. I wanna see some shit fights.

Nets are top heavy

Lakers have multiple future HOF coming off the bench and are way better defensively

Kyrie,KD,Harden are the only stars we have

Lakers have LeBron,AD and Westbrook so big 3s are equal

However Lakers have

Rondo - Future HOF
Melo - Future HOF coming off the most efficient season of his career
Dwight - Future HOF best backup center in the league
Gasol - Future HOF
Monk - up and coming star
Ellington - one of the best shooters in the NBA
Nunn - up and coming star
THT - up and coming star
Bazemore - really good 3+D guy, led the Warriors in on court rating last season
Ariza - veteran that brings championship experience

Lakers are loaded top to bottom whilst the Nets have one of the worst benches in the NBA

Rondo - washed up

Melo - washed up and is a terrible defender

Dwight - foul Machine that would be unplayable against the Nets as he was against Miami in 2020.

Monk- injury-prone player whose career average in minutes is only 20 a game despite playing on the hornets

Nunn - is terrible in the playoffs.

Ellington - terrible defender.

Gasol - washed up.

THT - overrated and is a terrible shooter

Bazemore has an incredibly low basketball IQ and was a foul machine last season

Ariza - washed up.

Rondo played like a legitimate star in the 2020 playoffs for the Lakers last year, his IQ alone makes the Lakers a better team

Melo is not in his prime but the combination of him Monk and Nunn gives the Lakers the best bench in the league

Stop downplaying how stacked this team is

Rondo's playoff stats with the Lakers in 2020 were the closest he's come to his days starring w/Boston.

Rondo's playoff stats with The Clippers in 2021 were some of his worst ever and he will be 36 years old this season.

Assuming Lakers win the title next season rondo's resume would be...

3x NBA Champion

4x All-Star

1x All-NBA third team

2x First-team all defence

2x Second team all defence

3x Assist leader

If he does get into the hall of fame he will be one of those guys that will get in 15-20 years after he retires.

His prime was cut short by injuries and he wasn't that great on the Kings that last time he led the league in assists.

Millsap has looked extremely underwhelming for Nuggets these last couple of years.

I really don't see his value on a team that already has a bunch of vets.

Patty and Joe Harris of the bench is nice tho, but LMA is washed as a center, zero defense, gets killed in PnR.

We can go small with Blake or Milsap, even KD at the 5 if LA is getting killed on defense

Nunn is arguably the Lakers 4th best player...

He better get solid minutes

I worry about the Lakers shooting a bit, obviously not as much as last year, but I could usually count on the defence to bail us out

They have some pretty solid shooters in Wayne, Monk, Melo, and Nunn

But the 1st 3 guys may not even be really playable come playoff time

Monk is probably the best bet here though to not be awful on defence, but I do see Melo getting minutes as well

Ariza is avg at best rn

Bazemore is a very solid wide-open shooter and a really poor contested shooter

Lebron is a good shooter, but inconsistent

The bubble AD was likely an outlier

THT is a mystery. If the shot isn't there, it's a really weird fit. Would move for a 3 and d guy if possible
