Talking full season including the post season? 15 he wasn't the best in the regular season but he had a case for post season. In 16 it was the opposite. 17 and 18 he wasn't even the best player on his team in the post season. Kd was as good offensively but way better in the other half of the game. So when was steph the best player in the league?

He literally won MVP in 2015 but he wasn't the best in the regular season?

Steph was the BITW in the 2016 regular season, and has been top 3-5 when healthy since 2015. He missed two huge opportunities to truly stake his claim, capping off the 73 win season with b2b titles, and winning in 2019 without KD.

Yeah i messed that one up. meant 14 he wasn't the best in regular season but he was very arguably the best in the post season. 2015-16 was the opposite

Definitely 2015 and 2016. If he wasn't then who was?

Don't be haters

Post season?

Arguably 2015. I would have also said 2016 but Lebron played better in the playoffs, especially the finals.

Had Dray not been suspended, and the Warriors remained healthy, they likely wrap that series up in 5. The narrative then would probably be in Curry's favor, and he goes down as better. But hey, if ifs and buts were bolts and nuts.

No doubt if the Warriors win in 2016 Curry gets the nod as BITW, but he would have gotten pretty criticized for his Finals performance. If the Warriors wrapped it up in 5, Curry would've averaged 22/5/5 with nearly 5 turnovers a game, might've been good enough to get FMVP, but would have certainly underwhelmed a good amount of fans

True, good point.

Wouldn't be the first time someone of his caliber underperformed in the finals, and still had people call them the best.

Never underestimate the winning narrative :lol

You think he was better than bron in the post season in 16 playoffs? And 17 playoffs he wasn't even the best on his team

None if you include postseason. He was massively outplayed by Lebron in 15 and 16 finals. You swap Lebron with any two warriors and warriors sweep Cleveland with an average margin of victory of like 20 ppg. Either of those 2 years.

And this isn’t Curry hate. We’re talking best in the world here. Curry just doesn’t cut it.

2016 regular season was the only time I thought he was clear-cut the best player.

2016-17 or 2015-16?

The last time he got either mvp or a scoring title, he didn't win a championship.
