In 1990 he was robbed of the MVP award. Not in that he deserved it and was unlucky, he was actually intentionally robbed by Magic-stanning voters. I don't think this is a controversial statement.
In 1993 he won the MVP.
In 1993, he was a game winning 3 pointer away form a home game 7 against the Bulls. The closest anyone came to beating the Bulls with a prime Jordan and Pippen. And this was with a hobbled KJ and an injured shooting elbow.
In 1994 he was winning against the Rockets and looking like advancing, but he hurt his back and couldn't be impactful in the last couple of games.
How differently history might have viewed him.
