The spin moves at 1:32 and 1:59 are flat-out ridiculous. Nimble feet and cat-like speed. The poster midway wasn't too shabby either. the 7'7" was a not able to guard him , because he was hired to play defense as a shot blocker on the weak side ,, out of all the teams in the league he was consider below average.
But Akeem skill levels were shown on display , he was at his peak.

I don't know how to source old posts of mine, for some reason I can't find it. If you can help me identify where to look, I can pull it up. But I specifically remember someone arguing that Duncan could run the floor and bring the ball up. Outrageous 'ish that people sell themselves, really.

This thread has now got me on a Hakeem video highlight bender.

One thing I feel that he was really elite at was knowing the last few moves he gave you and being able to predict what the defender is expecting next and then hitting them with a totally different counter move. I'm sure every hooper thinks this way but it seems like Hakeem had this mastered on a whole other level.

I would always do this when I played in the post - Back to back fadeaways, defenders on high alert and then hit them with the Vlade under the arm scoop shot. Now the defenders in no mans land stay up straight for the scoop or get up for the fade.
