“On my 10th day in ICU, COVID-19 is officially kicking my but, I am asking ALL family, friends, prayer warriors healers for your prayers and well wish for my recovery,” Ceballos tweeted. “If I have done and anything to you in the past , allow me to publicly apologize. My fight is not done….. Thx”

Sad stuff =(

He was a very good role player for so many years. Best of luck in the fight, fellow Laker!

considering no one in the media has said anything yet about his vaccine status i can almost guarantee he got the shot

or maybe he didn't post his views over social media like some lunatic lefty or trumper would have... so no one knows.

hope he recovers.

the media would break down the hospital doors trying to get info about him and if hes unvaccinated so they could make another example out of someone.

Only if he was vocal about it. All I see on his twitter is about meet and greets. Nothing about being forced to get a shot, I'm sure Arizona does not mandate it.

The dude was considered the 12th best player in the mid 90s.

MJ fans are out of whack talking about best era ever when this dude was almost a top 10 player. Right now Chris Paul, Tatum and Butler are barely top 20

Once finished inside the top 15 for MVP voting, so as I said at one point during the mid 90s he was the 12th best player.

For reference; last year Kawhi/LBJ/Harden were tied for 15th. The talent disparity is incredible.

Why does media and posters here call him a former all star? He participated in a couple dunk contests and won the contest in 92. That's all i remember.

Right he finished 15th the one year he made the All Star team. After that, nada.

That is pretty far from being top 12 in the mid 90s which spans more than one year.

:facepalm

Still not sure why people aren't taking the vaccine but they have no problem having a drink or smoking or taking tylenol or aspirin not knowing the ingredients in those or even eating burgers, pork, hotdogs, not knowing what insects may have infected them or any other animals.

All-Star in 95 and top 15 MVP finisher.

He was never a top 12 player even during the season he did this.

It's not that you're posting anything factually incorrect, it's that you're acting as if there is this tremendous talent gap, when there isn't.

For one, the Lakers won 48 games (after just winning 33 the previous yea without Ceballos) with him putting up 22/8 on 57% TS%.

The league also had 25 teams back then as opposed to 30 now, so the probability of having more players with MVP like numbers will exist now, especially in an age of free for all ball and loose perimeter play.

Lastly, Siakam finished 10th last year and DeRozan finished 8th in 2018. Heck, bum ass Ben Simmons finished 12th averaging 14/7/7/1/1. Yet you're out here talking about "talent"?

What did I post that is factually incorrect? You're being highly disingenuous. For example, taking Tatum who is clearly one of the top players today who averages 27 ppg, capable of going off for 50 in the playoffs and a good defender, and putting him at 'barely top 20' to make this era look strong. Ceballos is a Julius Randle tier player and Randle was top 10 in MVP voting last year.

Julius Randle is legitimately not a top 20 player in the league though.

Did he get the vaccine?

*crickets*

CDC is saying you're unvaccinated until 14 days after your 2nd dose. So if you die any time between the 1st dose date and 14 days after the 2nd you'll be counted as a COVID death.

Quite a genius way to cover up any acute short term reaction to the vaccine. And then even flip the cause for the agenda.

Think I heard they're doing this to Oscar De La Hoya too who got the vaccine.

Julius Randle is legitimately not a top 20 player in the league though. The comparison to Randle was moreso to point out Ceballos's 12th in MVP voting(assuming that was 95 or 96) doesn't prove that era was weak. It's actually a similar situation to Randle last year. However, putting Tatum at 'barely top 20' is highly disingenuous in an attempt to make today's era look stronger and get his point across.

Ceballos best finish in the MVP voting was 15th in his All-Star season.

Tatum was 12th in 19/20. Randle was 8th this season.

Are we seriously arguing the significance of a 15th place MVP finish in a thread about said 15th place guy being in the ICU fighting for his life?

Stop promoting NONSENSE. There is risk involved in everything, the vaccine provides more protection from serious illness or death than going unvaccinated. It really is simple! Ever wonder why the world is not crippled by SMALL POX, POLIO, or TETANUS. American's are so stupid they don't even realize we are already forced to get vaccinated for school, traveling to certain countries or during military deployment.
Nothing is 100% safe, about a 1,000 people die every year from taking penicillin, but only a fool would suggest we are better off without antibiotics.
