My vote is still Duncan but it's amazing that we're this far in and Larry Bird hasn't been slotted yet.

Duncan. Although Larry's peak was amazing, his lack of longevity hurts him, crazy to think he didn't even reach 900 regular season games.

I am going with Bird through it is a close call.

As with his playoff underperformance and lack of longevity.

You can make a case that Duncan was better than him.

I’m sorry you missed it but the debate now is LeBron versus Jordan. Kobe is irrelevant. We don’t worry about him he can be debated with the likes of Jerry West.

then why do you people spend more time talking about kobe and trying to rank him out of the top 30

Bird is already low as it is. How can this next spot not be Bird?

you will see why that doesn't matter soon enough. how else can we put Kobe 12th or 14th if we use logic

You're the only poster making it about Kobe. :confusedshrug: You literally brought him up. Most mainstream lists have him in their top 10, and he'll probably finish 9th or 10th here. No shame in that when looking at the names mentioned. Some of these dude's primes and especially peaks were just that good.

The fukk? I didn't really look at the vote breakdown before. It looks like Duncan is going to win #8 and, not arguing at this point whether he should be ranked over Larry Legend or not........how is Magic 3 spots above him on any GOAT list?! They played the same number of years. Bird was probably individually better overall for like the first 9 years( until his back derailed the end of his prime), 3 MVPs in a row. Championship count or H2H shouldn't really count here because you can't convince me a Bird/Kareem/worthy trio can't duplicate 5 chips in the 80's if they flipped teams, and the H2H would likely favor Larry in that case.

Larry Bird is a greater all-around player. And has the ability to make his teammates better. Offensively far better than Duncan.

Voting Larry Bird.

If its not over with a Duncan with then Ill begrudgingly cast one more vote for Tim Duncan. He leaned on Kawhi to carry out his twilight career years and this lead to netting TD one more ring for the 2014 good try nice effort ring. Kawhi was the reason San Antonio won the series but Duncan gets the 5th ring credit.

I'm voting for Timmy. Bird's longevity just isn't good at all with like 5 prime years. I will also vote for Hakeem and Kobe over him.

Actually it was 15-14 when I let it continue. It should be a win by at least two votes. I myself voted for Duncan. I didn't realize I hadn't voted.
