lost my taste and smell for 4 days. that's the worst part about it. everything tastes like spit. like you were dreaming about eating and you wake up with that disgusting taste. you just get a fever for a day and barely any cough. my appetite didn't change. you can sort of get a hint of citrus, spice and tomatoes. the best thing to eat is cheesy pasta. and if you dump a shit ton of salt on stuff you get that tingling sensation too. your nasal passages get shredded and blood will come out. it feels like you're under water sorta

I had covid before and honestly the earlier one was way worse and effected the lungs way more. I could barely breathe. this one just produces mucus.

I was self reliant and would be if I still had to be but I got money so I don't have to work. being reliant on others is someone on welfare or disability. if someone dumped a truck full of money on your driveway and you retired are you reliant on that money. no you made the choice to do other things with your time because work sucks. the only way someone keeps working after they have enough money not to is if they really enjoy what they do or they're never satisfied. I'm more than satisfied with my current living arrangement and I never was able to get into professional sports and that's all that really got my interest. that and maybe film editing but I'm too lazy and unmotivated to pursue that field.

its really easy not to work when you dont have to. and life slows down and you enjoy free time more. my life has been extended through retirement because days take twice as long to get through now. when I was working Monday to Friday seemed like it would go by in a flash and all I had was the weekend. so much of my time was spent recovering after work. hours would go by like minutes. just the past 10 years seems like an entire lifetime to me.

and my days are mainly dedicated to one thing at a time. like il say "hmm. I might go buy something I need that day. or visit this person the next day. or go grocery shopping the day after that. or set aside a day for cooking or laundry. I never get too much done in one day. like just going to play basketball with friends. I might not do anything after that and just lay in bed after. it's so relaxing when you have unlimited time. there's no stress whatsoever. like just writing this message I feel like I can go on forever because I have so much time to waste. I'm not missing out on anything. like I could go on for 20 minutes but I won't. I once had a dude volunteer as an intern for one of my projects for the summer. He came to me and said "whatever you need, I will do, for no pay, I just want to learn from you".

He spent the entire summer working for me 4-5 days a week, literally being a right hand man for that project. At the end of the project he thanked me and went back to finishing university. I had $5K in cash for him and he straight up refused it. He said he was there to learn. Any question he asked I answered immediately for him. Any responsibility I needed he took it on willingly. At the end he nearly became irreplaceable.

I wanted to promote him on the spot but he was off to bigger and better things that what I had to offer him. He's doing very well for himself right now.

The more irreplaceable you are the more leverage you have in life to demand more. If you don't get what you want, you update your CV and now your CV looks even better because you have developed more skill sets. So you go out and demand more money from others, or you are able to do more flexible level of work because you are more "dimensions" to your "game".


From your posts you are a smart dude. I have no doubt. Demand more responsibility and they will give it, do it without complaining without a care in the world if you are getting "paid" more or less.
