Kawhi Leonard - arguably the greatest all around player to ever live
Kyrie Irving - arguably the greatest offensive point guard to ever live
Klay Thompson - arguably the greatest spot up shooter to ever live
and then other multiple time allstars like jimmy butler, kemba walker, Nikola Vučević

It's up there, arguably top 5 maybe even top 3 but the 84 class was the clear GOAT
Jordan - The GOAT
Hakeem - top 3 center ever
Barkley - top 3 power forward ever
Stockton - top 5 PG ever
Otis Thorpe
Sam Perkins
Kersey
Schmidt
Alvin Robertson
Kevin Willis
Shogon

1984, 1996, 2003 are the strongest I can think of.

outside of the big ones:
Hinrich
David West
Josh Howard
Mo Williams
Korver
Peitrus
Perkins
Barbosa
Pachulia
When you add Lebron, Wade, Melo, and Bosh to it that one is inarguable top 3.
84 and 96 are the top 2.

I don't know man mj and Hakeem are as skilled as kyrie and kawhi. Klay isn't even all that skilled offensively. He can just shoot like muthafuka. Barkley was more skilled than klay.

1) 1984 - GOAT, Hakeem, Barkley, Stockton
2) 2003 - 2nd Place GOAT, Wade, Melo, Bosh
3) 1996 - Kobe, Iverson, Nash, R. Allen
Pretty obvious ranking.

Everyone knows '84, '96 & '03 are the 3 greatest draft classes ever. To fill out the top 5 I'd add
1985: Malone, Ewing, Mullin, Dumars, Porter, Schrempf
1987: Robinson, Pippen, Reggie, KJ
2018 looks like it's on track to potentially be the next all time great draft class. In regards to this thread, looking at it's top 3, Duncan, McGrady & Billups in '97 is honestly better than 2011

1984 is the only argument i see.
Kawhi > Lebron
Irving > Wade
Klay = Carmello
and 1996
Kawhi > Kobe
Irving > Nash (his 2016 playoff run was better then any nash playoff run)
Klay = Ray Allen

I don't have to pretend that kawhi can shoot. You have to pretend that LeBron can shoot because he's the worst non big free throw shooter in NBA history for a all time great.
LeBron also never had a playoff run of 732 points on 62% TS and eliminated 3 players of the caliber of curry, giannis, embiid

Im sure its not partially because he played with lebron and iverson had eric snow as his second option
2011 klay the catalyst to the warriors making playoff runs after his rookie year.

Irving 2021 reg season is better then any Iverson season as well and he had Durant for like 10 games.
Your lack of supporting cast is why you choose to constantly jack up bricks? That's a new one, that didn't hurt kawhi when all he had was Lowry

Bruh u trippin on the good good. I love kawhi but he not better than bron and Irving isn't anywhere near wade. Kyrie not even better than nash. Nash did his thing as the man. Irving had the luxury of not having to lead and just going out there and score. Don't get me wrong kyrie was great but he ain't nash.

well neither irving or nash were great at being 1st option scorers. Nash had Dirk f'n Nowitzki and couldn't win shit, had his own team handed to him in phoenix and couldn't win shit. Meanwhile, irving won a championship in 2016 and made the biggest shot in finals history. On top of that, Irving's advanced stats in 2016 are better then any Nash playoff run you want to come up with.
Kawhi's 2019 playoff run is also better then lebron when he eliminated Embiid\Butler\Giannis\Curry and scored 732 points on 62% TS

Yeah i agree neither are the best first options but if i had to chose between the 2 i'm taking nash every day and twice on Sundays. As a leader and just in general he's just way more professional and reliable. Between Kyrie's injuries and mental issues he's not someone u can rely on as a leader. On the other hand as a second option i'd probably take kyrie.
As far as kawhi i just can't put him above bron. Yeah he was great in 2019 but he loses that finals if warriors aren't hurt. It's just too much of an asterisk in my eyes to put that chip above brons in 16.

Irving is the one who actually proved it on the biggest stage, while nash never proved anything on the biggest stage. So I can trust and rely on Irving a lot more. Irving isn't the same floor general but his usage was a lot higher then nash and scoring responsibility.
Kawhi beat the same warriors team that Lebron did in 2016, just give Klay a missed game instead of Draymond. Except it was easier for Lebron because he had Irving who is better then anybody that Kawhi had. Also Draymond has clearly been more valuable to warriors 2015-2019 then Klay was.

Irving WON the finals, he averaged 27PPG on great efficiency and hit the biggest shot of the series. Outplayed the mvp curry as well.

It's weird that almost nobody mentiones 1985 draft, and it is by far greatest draft by combined win shares of players drafted.
Here is combined win shares of draft classes:
1979 - 1119.4
1980 - 801.3
1981 - 1195.1
1982 - 994.6
1983 - 1095.1
1984 - 1552.8
We see a giant leap with 84 draft as expected, but then the next year we have
1985 - 1707.4
And this is huge gap, 154.6 is a win shares of top 30 player, so 85 have all 84 have plus one hall of famer.
Other candidates for best draft class:
1996 - 1464.3
2003 - 1424.9
And here are win shares of other noticeable draft classes:
1987 - 1338.8
1992 - 1154.7
1998 - 1371
1999 - 1311.9
2001 - 1279.7
2009 - 1204.1
2011 - 1080.9
