His 2nd option was a rookie. They didn't play at their home court at all because of scheduling mishap.

I'd say Game 5 against the Celtics is more applicable than the 2011 Finals, where, at least imo, his lack of aggressiveness was due to either choking or confusion on what his role was, not necessarily quitting.

Even so though, Kobe & LeBron in 2010 were in earlier rounds in games their teams got absolutely destroyed in. Barry's occurred in Game 7 of the conference finals in a game the Warriors would lose by only 8 points. His is tiers worse than either LeBron's or Kobe's, or frankly any other players that I've seen.

Can you elaborate more about this, please? I never saw Big E play, and I've noticed that he is really unappreciated by fans, even though he is a Top 5- Top 10 of all-time. Reason for this?

At one end of the enjoyment of the game many greats brought excitement and class and grace and awe to the fans, Julius Erving, George Gervin at the time...

at the opposite end is someone with no personality, no flair to his game, but he wins and gets his due as a Hall of Famer.... Hayes was the among worst of these, Julius Randle of the Knicks (as a fan of the team) is currently in this quartile for lack of adding enjoyment to watching

My griping for those days, was that Walton brought joy to fans, his Blazers team was exciting and played the game fundamentally sound, won in 1977, was coasting to the 1978 title and got hurt and ruined as a star

and in its place we got Sonics/Bullets Finals back to back, a total letdown,

I recall we had Doc and Ice in the semis, but they bowed out, as they tended to do.... matching those two in the Final would have been an all-time acrobatic feat... instead we got Sonics/Bulltets, with Walton in a cast suing everyone....
