Wrong 100%

Dirk had 2x MVP Nash and did nothing with it. No finals with Nash.

Played with Luka and did nothing with Luka God.

I love Dirk but he's nowhere close to Lebron imo. Lebron impacts the game in so many more ways than Dirk ever did.

The funny thing with these things is if you put Dirk in his prime against a LeBron led team in a series, there really wouldn't be much difference in terms of impact.

LeBron's "defensive" edge wouldn't manifest itself at all against Dirk. It's no different when Duncan and Dirk played against each other. Duncan's defense on paper sounds great but in reality it didn't matter much against Dirk. So then it comes down to who played offense better.

In a one on one scenario sure. Neither would be able to guard the other all that effectively.

Team defense is what can make life difficult for superstars and Lebron contributes (In his prime) more heavily to his teams defense being stingy.

It didn't help Duncan much. Mavs were well above their regular averages and in some games completely lit up the Spurs team defense.

LeBron isn't nearly the defensive impact help defender as Duncan was.

Dirk is one of those unique offensive players at his peak where it doesn't matter. He's such a magnet for defensive attention + his scoring skills at the size made it nearly impossible to stop him or his team from getting a high quality look.

Imagine LeBron winning a brutal gauntlet title in the West with Jason Terry. He could barely win with prime Wade out East lol.

The whole defense vs offense thing doesn't add up because Dirk faced Duncan who people would say was close on offense and way better on defense, yet Dirks team won with less talent. Duncan had prime Manu and Parker and still lost. Dirks line is crazy.

Dirk fits into any offense much better than LeBron does because of his off ball style, and he's worlds more clutch, which is the most premium aspect of an offensive superstar. LeBron is a better team defender but has gotten roasted by his SF competition in the playoffs ~ Durant, Kawhi, Iggy, shit even Jimmy Butler put up a career series. His defense is overrated.

Dirk is better, he's just not an egomaniac attention whore. Doesn't sell like LeBron but is a better basketball player.

Lebron only plays defense on teams that are stacked though, his defense is being vastly overrated here

Duncan plays underneath, which isn't necessarily a huge factor when playing a Dirk team. They have always been a perimeter based offense. That's a big reason why his teams were so tough to defend. The unique skillset for a guy like that confuses pretty much everyone.

The 2009 Cavaliers were stacked? This is news to me.

Given what happened when they faced each other in 2011....Yeah, it's pretty clear who was better.
