Yeah, that's why he won so many MVPs, All-Star selections and made it to the Hall of Fame.

I posted that video here, maybe a month ago? Its funny that you say Reeves "destroyed" him. Shaq still claims Reeves was the ONLY non-star who gave him trouble.

What is the point of this thread? This doesn't take away from Shaq's greatness in any way.

Probably to show even the most dominant greats get outplayed. :confusedshrug: Reeves wasn't a star either, but had a nice little 15 footer.

These days with all the media available when a superstar gets outplayed it is made a big deal of it. However, back in the day there weren't so many resources and people didn't realize that even the greatest of players had bad games against role players from time to time.

Obviously one tier below that, but his career was cut way short and progress got stalled by injuries. He had the talent to be a perennial all-star and the body to hang with Shaq.

I always thought Sam Mack should have had a better NBA career. His 3 ball was lights out.

Dunno, people.

I'm getting the feeling Embiid would destroy Shaq Diesel.

Embiid is made of glass. That's not good against a bull in a china shop playing in a physical era.

Agreed.

It would be perimeter vs bulldog. A mismatch. That's what makes it so intriguing.

I've heard Shaq say on Open Court that Big Country gave him the most problems.

That's why that big fella has no chances of becoming a future mvp, more or less.

That was a fun team, Shareef, Big Country, Mack.

Big Country would probably be a more impactful player today with his range.
