Yeah. Wonder if this (the back-to-normal schedule) will be the general yearly schedule literally forever. With preseason early Oct, regular season mid/late Oct, Finals June, draft late June.

Well yeah. Normally the finals are over by mid-June. Game 6 of the last finals was July 20th and they're starting this season on time. The off-season is basically a month shorter than it usually is.

It's the same, it's the effects of the covid season bubble then the quick start of the previous season and finals the bubble covid season crammed everything together, now everything is back to normal preseason is next week the third, so it seems quick.
