Who do you say are the top 10 NBA players entering the 2021-22 season?

If it's too hard to rank them in an exact order, you can always just list 10 as a group in no particular order.

1. Kevin Durant
2. Giannis Antetokounmpo
3. LeBron James
4. Nikola Jokic
5. Luka Doncic

--------------------------------

6. James Harden
7. Joel Embiid
8. Stephen Curry
9. Damian Lillard
10. Trae Young

Trae Young has to be top 10 entering the season with what he displayed last season.
Kawhi isn't playing next season therefore he can not be included...

Assuming they're healthy

1. Kawhi
2. Curry
3. KD
4. Giannis
5. Luka
6. AD
7. Embiid
8. Harden
9. LeBron
10. Trae

LeBron & Harden could be argued higher - but honestly, the top 7-8 are ALL in the same ballpark.

Kawhi is hurt and may not even be back so I'm not including him.

1. Durant
2. Giannis
3. Lebron
4. Curry
5. Doncic
6. Jokic
7. Harden
8. Davis
9. Embiid
10. Trae

It's one of the toughest years to list the top 10 because so many injuries and weirdness but I'm fairly confident about KD and Giannis as #1 and #2. I give Lebron the benefit of the doubt with #3. Curry at #4 seems right. Doncic I feel is a bit better than Jokic. Harden and Davis hurt by injuries so could see them end up much higher.

Davis is injured. Can't stay healthy. Trae just lead his team to the Conference Finals something Davis has never done as the #1 guy. He's agreed to take the back seat to Lebron and now Westbrook as well. #1 Options always perceived better tha n #2 or #3 options much like what he is right now in the Lakers.

He led his team in the East without playing either of the two teams who could contend for the title until the ECF. Prime Pels would wash that Hawks team in 5. Imagine shooting 42/31/87 as the main guy chucking at will and leading your team to a conference finals in the West. How many times has that happened this century?

Your personal bias is clearly clouding your judgement. Trae dominated the playoffs, and solidified his ability to impact the biggest games. You can debate whether Davis should be included before him but don't try to act like his game isn't on that level.

You sound foolish! #1 Anthony Davis is IN HIS PRIME NOW. How far did so called Prime Pels advance in the playoffs?
#2 The 76rs were title contenders when the Hawks beat them in the 2nd round.
Imagine a 22 year 6"1 point guard leading his team to the ECF in his 3rd year? How many times has that happened this century?

kinda hate doing these lists. unpopular opinions i'm going with are not ranking kawhi for next year and having harden over luka til luka proves it. jokic can be higher too he was better last year and still young. Curry should be ahead of bron at this point in their careers(if kawhi was healthy he be too), top 3 is in their own tier. Then cutoff for next tier is better than lillard. I'm not taking trae over ad yet and not sure he's even next up. Paul george and yes jimmy butler have good cases with their 2 way play.

durant
giannis
curry
bron
harden
jokic
luka
embiid
lillard
ad.

He defeated the 76ers who was a Top 3 team in the East last year. If the 76ers didn't choke in that series they would have a good shot at the title last year. Last years 76ers were better than that Davis/Cousins/Rondo Team that Trae defeated and the fact remains, Trae lead his team the Conference Finals while Davis never made it past the 2nd round as the Lead star. You can't deny this.

And we are talking about who's the TOP 10 coming into this season. As I recall Davis was injured and We haven't seen him come back yet. So I choose Trae over a hobbled Davis coming into the season

Absolutely. He's already taken his team further than Luka who is always talked about and the star of his draft class. And again, he beat a quality team last year. Hope he keeps balling. He's got my respect.

Anthony Davis needs to play games. Kawhi also will be missing the majority of this upcoming season so he can not be ranked.
Trae led his team to a conference final appearance. No one expected them to beat the Knicks, the Sixers, and almost beat the Bucks. Do I need to remind you that Trae scored 48 points against the champs? Ok then!!!

Interesting. The current MVP didn't top anyone's list. Didn't come in 2nd on anyone's list either. Seen him around 3-4-5-6 on most people's list.

Who cares if they're a top 3 team in the East? They're not an elite team, which is why Trae can shoot below average and still win with his team. This is why the East has been garbage for as long as it has. Lebron was able to go to 9 straight finals in the East and yet has a negative record when he gets there. Making the ECF is not the same as the WCF.

Dame also made the WCF while AD didn't until he joined Lebron, doesn't make Dame better. When they played each other, AD destroyed him.

Sixers are not serious title contenders, they're losers. Their two best players include a guy that can't stay healthy and has gotten bullied in the PS, as well as his Robin who gets PTSD during the 4th quarter.
