Harden adding to his bag. One move in particular looked suspect. Check 15 second mark. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lTPChxmNWX0

Almost every signature move today is a carry.

I only glanced but I’m not so sure. He seemed to stay on top of the ball even though he also kinda….halfway palmed it. Don’t know for sure.

no carry. flagrant 2 on the cameraman for staring at him too hard. 25k fine and 2 game suspension.

Don’t know for sure.on a srs note, I don't think it's more of a carry than say... a modern day in-and-out. It's using the same concept of changing the direction the ball's going mid-dribble.

At the 15 second mark he does a front back move in between dribbles. It looks like a carry but I'm not sure his hand ever goes under the ball.

Lots of traveling, allowing players to so called gather the ball while stepping without dribbling should be eliminated from professional basketball. These are moves the professor would do on the And 1 tour.

Yeah but you can do in and out without your hand getting under the ball. Not sure you can with this move. I tried and it's difficult.

Would also need big hands to pull it off. James Harden is also 6'5 and one of the best ballhandlers in the world, so there's that. You're probably, what? A decent cat at the local Lifetime Fitness with some HS Varsity experience? It's not the same.

Played college ball. I was pretty good. I had nice handles but they weren't on hardens level. I agree definitely not the same but my handles are good enough to know it's a tough move to pull of without carrying it. Not saying he can't just that it's tough. I only tried it im living room also. With some speed and momentum it may be easier.

Played college ball. I was pretty good. Nice. I was moreso just projecting. I figured you had some ball experience based on your posts.

No, all I see is scary ass handles. Let's hope he's healthy come playoffs. Not that I will root for the Nets, it sucked seeing him trying to do anything on Jrue hampered like he was.

That's cool man. I still play but not nearly as much. It's hard to find good runs. I train a few kids in the neighborhood who are in u14 and high school so i'm always looking at the top players for moves. Half of hardens i can't use because they're travels or look like travels and they call the game way more tight in high school and u14. His footwork on the perimeter and his change of speeds is very good though.

He should be fine. Dosn't seem like he usually gets hurt much. I'm not a huge harden fan but it would be nice seeing a fully healthy nets vs lakers in the finals

If it wasn't a carry it probably wouldn't be possible. But it doesn't matter anyway, because there is no carry or travel in the NBA anymore.

one of the dangerous things about Hardening is how vicious he dribbles the ball ,, this is a way of throwing an opponent off by them thinking
he may move left or right.
Only other dribbler that did that to my memory was AI.

It's absolutely a carry and anyone that even remotely disagrees doesn't have a set of eyeballs.
He brings the ball WAY back on his right side, starts the move downward, brings his hand under the ball in order to shift direction roughly at his waist and the ball hits the floor way to his left side.
How is this even a question?

Also Harden looks like he's been eatin pretty good in the offseason.
Not surprised he's always in such a hurry to get there.

They are just gonna chalk it up to the "evolution of the game".
After 50 years there would be triple step back four point shots and attribute it purely to "increased player skill."
