Why is former President Trump shamed?

Some people (eg many lawyers in Australia) seem to use Trump as a secret handshake to test political affiliations.

My human rights law lecturer put this on the reading list for a Masters level unit at a top university in the world. It incorrectly labels a former president as an extremist. This seems defamatory to me (if not in law then in simple understanding). Whether the media acted with actual malice would be an interesting question in law - but I fear people are prejudiced and it would be decided based on the political appointment of the presiding judge...


Anyone want to counter this article? Would you in class though as if you challenge the left then you know your mark will be compromised.

As for challenging it in class... that totally depends on your professor. Some professors can't stand it when someone disagrees with them. Others actually encourage original thinking and intelligent debate.

However, I wasn't born into a family of millionaires, and my father did not provide me with a multimillion dollar real estate company that I could assume ownership of when he retired. Nor am I as dishonest or manipulative as Trump is, so yeah... I guess by some measures he is more successful.

If Trump is indeed an extremist, that more than enough justification for shaming him. Many, many people view DT as and extremist, or even a radical extremist. Granted, there are others who view him as more of a moderate, but his position is at least up for debate. If you feel that labeling him an extremist is flat-out wrong, then I would like to know why you feel that way.

And let's not pretend that Trump doesn't shame others practically on a daily basis. He seems especially fond of bashing successful women who he feels are unattractive.

$300mill the man got from his daddy lol. People don't realize that it is much easier to turn 1 million into 2 million than it is to turn say 5k into 10k through investments.

Now you throw in 300mill?? That changes everything as you can literally buy entire apartment blocks with guaranteed rent bills each month and hire professional accountants to work for you full-time. They can analyze and point out to you businesses with solid returns to buy, hire professional firms to help you with tax avoidance through offshore banks and hire full-time professional financial planners/stock brokers working exclusively for you.
