Only LeBron did it back in 2013. Noone else in NBA History has done it. Who will be next? :confusedshrug:

This was impressive af. Peak LeBron was amazing to watch. Not to mention, that team won 66 games. He shot 57/41/75 that season, an insane 64% TS%. It's easily one of the greatest seasons of all-time for not only a player but a team as well.

It's tough to say. Shooting 50%/40% is tough enough already, and usually when a player can shoot 3's at 40% you would always up their volume, dragging fg% down even more. It'd be a Giannis type player if anyone ever does do it again. Giannis but better at hitting open 3's so he takes 3-4/game but only if he's left wide open, and otherwise just attacks. Crazy to think about how damn good Lebron is.

I agree that it would take insane amounts of discipline.

As you said, most players and coaches would automatically start taking more 3s. It would have to be a front court player who takes corner 3s/wide open 3s only because they have such good offensive help around them there's no need to take bad shots. Giannis will never get to 40%. Maybe Embiid with extreme discipline and better teammates.

And I know this is a bait thread, but just to confirm, is there anything special about LeBron at 56/40/75 vs say Jokic this past season at 57/39/86?

Yes. The league is more perimeter friendly and pace is higher than in 2013.
2013: 98 PPG | 92 Pace
2021: 112 PPG | 99 Pace
