But two things are certain... the US government is going to keep moving left from a financial policy standpoint until collapse. And the federal reserve is going to continue to print money until collapse.

I think the reason it hasn't already happened is because the United States is the greatest country in the history of the world up to this point and there is such an incredible amount of intertia behind it that it's hard to pinpoint exactly when it will be interrupted.

Human beings will never ever elect a congress and president that preach fiscal discipline. And there are two reasons for that. 1) Too many people are dependent on the state to continue their way of life and 2) Big corporations and the military industrial complex have too much skin in the game for the money to stop flowing because they are a bunch of psychopathic assholes.
