The 3 that jumped out to me

1. Durant being the MVP favorite. Yes, he's arguably the BITW, but barring some historic season by him or the Nets there's no way he's gonna be MVP. He probably won't even play enough games to be eligible.

2. Luka getting less votes in the best guards poll than Dame & Booker.

3. The Pelicans dropping from 41% to 7 in the "most promising young core" poll in one year.

Not sure why you would leave "Who has the most promising young core out"

Yeah KD ain't winning MVP. He and Harden will take votes from each other( and I expect both of them to miss time and take themselves out of contention regardless). I'm going with either Giannis riding the wave of his first chip and taking it to another level, or Luka comes of age. Steph has a puncher's chance if the Warriors have some kind of return to form but the league has caught up with the style that they dominated with 5 years ago. AD has MVP potential but if Lebron and Russ will take from his numbers.

Steph is the most game breaking, adjustment forcing player in the NBA.

Jokic >> Embiid.not necessarily. You want to sign Luka because of his age. He has at least 10 seasons of prime basketball in him barring injuries.

MVP isn't going to KD or Doncic. First off the Mavericks did not improve at all. They will be in the play-in this year fighting for a playoff spot next to the Warriors.
The Nets have so many internal issues they need to worry about and they most likely won't be the top seed in the East.

Best Coach in the NBA isn't Spoelstra. What happened to the Heat last season? :confusedshrug: FOH with this nonsense.

So last year’s winner (deservingly), still healthy and in his prime, doesnt strike GMs as a guy with a chance to win it this year?

The main 3 finalists for MVP last season got a grand total of 10% of the votes for this season, with the guy that won it getting a total 0 votes. :lol Joker has to be the most disrespected superstar I've seen in a long, long time.

Surprised it took anyone that long to notice that.

He had the highest WS/48 since Steph in 2016. Not that that’s the only thing that matters but it wasn’t like people were just hurt and he played decently so fvck it, give it to him. He had an incredible season and is amazing.

If they are healthy the Nuggets will win 58-60 games and he’ll be top 3 again

What's funny is that Giannis got 47% of the vote for best defensive player, but only 17% of the vote for best interior defender.....what?

i thot ayton had his breakout season this last playoffs series. he doesn't strike me as a guy that will ever average superstar numbers, but he can perform at an elite level when called upon, like in the playoffs. he guarded jokic perfectly and did a decent job on gianna considering she was given a whistle for every bump. ayton held her to 50% in the finals while the rest of the team was like 70%.

some of the questions are subject to past years and stats ... but that is o.k.

this : Which active player will make the best head coach someday?

1. Chris Paul, Phoenix – 34%
2. Rajon Rondo, L.A. Lakers – 14%
3. T.J. McConnell, Indiana – 10%
4. Mike Conley Utah – 7%
Udonis Haslem, Miami – 7%
Garrett Temple, New Orleans – 7%
> Also receiving votes: Harrison Barnes, Sacramento; Malcolm Brogdon, Indiana; Draymond Green, Golden State; Joe Ingles, Utah; LeBron James, L.A. Lakers; Patty Mills, Brooklyn
> Last year: Chris Paul – 36%

Chris Paul would never be a coach , because he has a boat of money , and his interests are his family and friends.
Rondo is a different story --- he could become a coach , and likely might happen .
If he does , he will have to combat the aggression he has a competitor , other wise his players could get turned off by him.

Best Coach in the NBA isn't Spoelstra. What happened to the Heat last season? :confusedshrug: FOH with this nonsense.

They lost a few key players from the previous season that made them one of the deeper teams in the league. The Heat still made it to the playoffs. Them losing to the eventual NBA champions doesn't suddenly make him any lesser of a coach.
