There was a school shooting in Memphis just a week ago and it was pretty much swept under the rug. Why? Because no one cares. All news stations need stories that sell, and in America unless it’s a Sandy Hooke level thing or something you can attack a sitting or former president over, we’re all numb to it.

And check this out, not only does the media not cover this story cause the kid is Black, the kid gets released from jail on bond. He literally went to school with a gun and shot people.

Can you imagine if this kid was White?? The media would be having a field day if he was released. They'd be having a field day if he was White period. And there's no way in hell they offer bond to a White kid. That narrative of White shooters is so engrained into the minds of all the sheep across this country that they'll do whatever they can to squash this story and make White males look bad again.

I don't think it's so much a matter of his race but rather people have gotten used to school shootings, so much so that here at ISH, the latest school shootings where there were actual fatalities, we don’t even take the time to make threads about anymore. I remember when school shootings were multiple pages deep here with back and forth between the pro and anti gun crowds, now it's like meh, whatever, and this one not even having a fatality? A big ol' collective zzzzz...

Maybe because nobody died? I mean relative to other mass shootings this is nothing. Maybe the victims were black also? I don't know if that's the case but nobody ever cares when it's black lives being taken.

Hell, go to Breitbart, that bastion of the far right, and you'll have a difficult time finding any news on the shooting. There is one story, but it seems to be there more to report on what Gov Abbot said then the actual details of the crime. Of course they have a nice big picture of the shooter at the top of the article, so that everyone can see he's black without them actually having to mention it in the article.
