Kawhi - 7 times (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021)

Jordan - 5 times (1991, 1992, 1996, 1997, 1998)

Lebron - 5 times (2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2020)

Larry Bird - 9 times (1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988)

Tim Duncan - 9 times (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2013)

Kobe Bryant - 2 times (2008, 2009)

Shaquile Oneal - 3 times (1995, 2000, 2002)

So based on this list, it looks like Kawhi will end up being #1 out of all of them (assuming he has 3 more prime seasons which is a given at this point).

I thought Tim Duncan sucked?

Compared to kawhi he does, kawhi will easily pass him up on this list.

Duncan also wasn't even the leader in VORP of the 1999 team, Robinson was. Also carried by manu in the 2005 playoffs VORP, Parker and kawhi won the 2007 and 2014 finals mvps.

Isn't he the guy that has 0 MVPs and has led his team to 67 once his entire career? Best RS player? Also based on that list, Robin still has less times than Duncan.

You’re using a metric that has Duncan at #1 all time. You can’t backtrack when you do that. It’s incredibly weak.

but Kawhi at 30 years old is clearly going to surpass him, that's my point.

Duncan dominated a slow pace, weak offense era (2000-2007).

Kawhi is dominating the best era.

But he's not dominating it. Winning one championship in the last 8 years against an injured team, no MVPs, load management, team makes the conference finals without you......that's not domination.

Sounds like you need your hearing checked.

Kawhi is so 'dominant' that he's not even in consideration for league MVP, nobody is worried about the Clips anymore, and sports talk shows have had 'should the Clips max deal Kawhi?' as talking points.

DOMINATION.

regular season mvp is a narrative driven by the media who don't like kawhi, he clearly should of won MVP in 2016, 2017, 2020.

Kawhi has 2 finals MVPS at 30 years old. Kareem played until he's 40 and only ended with 2 finals MVPS.

Injuries are part of most chips, giannis had harden\irving hurt this season, duncan in 2003 had webber\dirk hurt, lebron in 2016 had draymond suspension and so on and so on. Garbage argument by you that's not worth the time and day.

Yet you replied anyway jackass. Dominant is Shaq in the early 2000s. MJ in the 90s. Lebron in Miami. Chips, MVPs, scoring titles, all-NBAs. Dominant isn't winning a title because the better team had injuries, going 6/22 in game 7 when you're supposed to be the best player on the floor( with the better team), then getting injured while your team still advances. Kawhit is not dominant and his 15 minutes in the sun ended in 2019. Keep up.

Based on what exactly? You can make the argument that Kawhi's best years are already behind him. He's never going to be the dominant two way player that he once was with the Spurs. At best he's just going to continue to be a great offensive player who chimes in on defense when he needs to. And that's not even factoring his load management and injury issues.

Kawhi in 2019 finals had a higher GmSC then any miami lebron finals run, as well like 10x harder east finals path playing Embiid\Giannis.

Playoff VORP stockton is only #11 and Kawhi's right on his ass, with Curry\Harden probably knocking him down by the end of their careers. So he'll be roughly 15th which is pretty crap for his longevity.

That playoff run honestly doesn't hold up very well when compared to some of LeBron's best runs. 2007, 2009, 2012, 2013, 2016, 2018, all of these runs are superior to what Kawhi did in 2019.

Bronbron23

Playoff VORP stockton is only #11 and Kawhi's right on his ass, with Curry\Harden probably knocking him down by the end of their careers. So he'll be roughly 15th which is pretty crap for his longevity.

pippen 8th? wtf lmao. throw that stat out

Top 10 player for ten years straight and went too like 9 conference finals during that span, not sure what you expect. Pippen had similar career value to you actually kobe, that's what advanced stats like VORP say.

Hahahahaha.

Kawhi is 72% TS, 29 gmsc, 140 offensive rating.

Luka is at 57% TS, 26 gmsc, 114 offensive rating.

So kawhi is +15% TS, + 3 gmsc, +26 offensive rating.

Complete utter domination from Kawhi. He always does that to people, completely destroy them unless you injure him or throw him in a prison bubble with no fans. He was easily beating jokic too and was about to close series in 5 but didn't want to be stuck in a hotel with no fans.

All those advanced stats and it took him 7 games to beat baby Luka? With the 2nd best player on the floor being his own teammate. Should have been a sweep.

I like how the moron says prison bubble with no fans like every other player didn't have to deal with it as well. Clippers don't even have fans anyway, so Kwhitter should have been used to playing without fans.

Kawhi poops his pants consistently in big moments and this idiot HBK thinks he’s some clutch god :lol

FT to put the Heat away in 2013? CLANK!

Duncan’s last chance at a ring? Pooped on by KD and WB while Aldridge dominates Ibaka.

Up 3-1? Disgusting choke to 7’1 Windhorst

If anything that means there was less pressure and Kawhit still choked, and the eye of Sauron focused squarely on his lack of leadership and ability to galvanize the locker-room.

The hilarious thing about him 'bragging' about Kawhi beating Luka in the playoffs: prime Bird was sweeping baby Jordan out of the playoffs, while Kawhit barely squeezes out two seven game series on baby Luka while having the better roster. He doesn't seem to grasp that there is no way Luka, with a worse team, should even be taking Kawhi to seven games at this stage in their careers. It's actually a bad look that Kawhi isn't handily beating Luka in a seven game series with HCA.

Kawhi gets nice stats but he just doesn’t have much impact. Joe Johnson level player tbh, was lucky he had HOFers like Duncan/Parker/Ginobili and Lowry/Marc Gasol

The simple reality is until( and we're never going to see it) Kawhi lands on some 30 win team that is then built from the ground up around him..... every team he's ever been on..........EVERY TEAM.....had an identity and were playoff level when he joined.

2016 his team had the #1 net rating despite being in the same league as a f'n 73 win team.

I don't care what his teams net rating was. He was not more valuable to his team than Stephen Curry, who had one of the greatest seasons of all time.

2020 he played the same total amount of minutes as Giannis and is a better player then him.

First off, no he's not, and second, Giannis was better on both ends of the floor that season. There is no argument for Kawhi over Giannis. None.

Kawhi was #2 in MVP voting in 2016 and top 5 in 2020, not sure why that's a joke to you but ok.

Steph was the unanimous MVP in 2016. It doesn't matter what Kawhi's ranking was. No one had an argument over Steph that season.

2007 hahahahaha when he averaged 22PPG on 35% FG and had a 10 GmSC

I was going to make a decent response until you mentioned that year, now i know you're trolling

His game 5 performance against Detroit alone puts 2007 above anything Kawhi ever did. He at least didn't need his teammates to do all the dirty work for him. LeBron basically did everything himself.

One good thing about ish is that some posters are so dumb, it unites the entire forum to make fun of them. Brick is one of those MVPs.

I saved this forum, just like how kawhi saved the NBA in 2019.

Kawhi in 2019 pretty much just said "lebron and Durant you guys team hop too much to the point where your 4th best teammate is just as good as opponents best player, curry and harden you two are too much of a bitch. Its time for me to score 732 points on 62% TS and win finals mvp" hahahahha

Kevin Durant 2019 playoffs: 32/5/5 66% TS, while sharing the offense with Steph and Klay

If that guy is playing the entire finals......... Kawhi ain't winning shit.
