That’s just semantics. They got the 8th seed. They only failed to play the 1 seed because of the play in tournament, which is part of the playoffs because that’s how they made it. If you’re gonna say that the playoffs and play in are different, then we’re just arguing with semantics. The Grizzlies failed to make the 8th seed legitimately. If anything they didn’t really make the playoffs, well sorta but not really.

Let’s be real here. Most people don’t know how the play ins work. They aren’t real. They are a made up system that has nothing to do with who made it based on record.

The Warriors made the playoffs. It’s like saying Trump wasn’t my president.

With 2nd pick james wiseman, rising star andrew wiggins, small veteran kent bazemore and new splash bro kelly '>klay' oubre jr. last season, stephen curry was only good enough for the 9th seed this year after b2b losses in the losers bracket despite averaging almost 40 points in that span. Unfortunately you need to deal with this shit, op. :ohwell:

They made the play-IN but officially did NOT make the playoffs.
Don’t be confuse.

They made the play-IN
AKA the losers bracket :(

The warriors were also the first team in league history to lose b2b games there as well, which only shows that they are 9th seed at best without klay.
