There is this Lebron stans narrative going that it doesn't, to dismiss the 0-3 Lakers record. But NBA preseason matters a lot.

You are so right. That's why the preseason is so often referred to as the "Big Stage!" Hall of fame status is determined in the preseason. Those 82 games afterwards are just exhibition exercises, and the playoffs are pretty much just summer league scrimmages. It's what happens in the first couple of weeks of October that really matters. Thanks for your brilliant insight into what NBA basketball is truly about. Your contribution is priceless.
Don't be so hard on the OP, the preseason is usually a great indicator of what's to come in the regular season and later on in the playoffs. The Bucks went winless in the preseason last year, the 2020 Lakers & 2018 Warriors finished .500, the 2016 Cavs went 1-6. I mean, sure, OP is a dipshit, but the preseason has a proven track record of predicting future success.

Some people need preseason/Summer League to matter since they know they won’t get any Ws elsewhere

I agree on everything, apart from the part I am dipshit.

I think SBT is spot on. Your whole shtick consists entirely of predicting doom for the Lakers, who have pushed your stool in so many times it's a wonder you can walk.

Nowadays, in these days when even the Regular Season is not taken seriously by some teams (superstars sitting lots of games, tanking, etc.), imagine what's the level of importance of Pre-Season for some franchises. I always saw it as the last opportunity for teams to make the final cuts of their rosters and give minutes to players who will be at the end of the bench during the season. Nothing more, nothing less.
