Yeah. Big guys have got too comfortable with the money from selling rights to Hollywood while their backbone are getting fragile thanks to manga. Little guys have adapted better but are still to small to compete with the big guys and the outsiders.

There are more comics written in manga-ish format on retail shelves lately especially those aiming at early teens. They probably won't go full manga and good ol' superhero comics will still be around but it is always other options for new, younger demographics. That's probably how things are gonna go for the future of American comic industry.

I was one of the people crying about Marvel pandering to the new generation when they rebooted hawkeye, ironman and spiderman to be represented by minorities. Turned out those books achieved what they set out to do and refreshed a group of stale characters.
