Do defenders not know this? He does it alot and it's about a second or 2 before he shoots so you'd think defenders would crowd him as soon as he does it but they never do.

yes defenders know this and letting him shoot has always been a better option than getting elbowed and stiff armed all the way to the rim then shoved off into the first row. it's called steroids and refs. that's why a crappy free throw and midrange shooter can shoot ok from three. because it's the easiest shot he can take. less pressure than a free throw and no defender contesting like with mid range

Iggy was good at bothering Lebron's jump shots but most defenders are just willing to let him shoot because he's not elite, they'd rather have him shoot than let him get to the paint and either score/get fouled or create a wide open 3 for a better shooter.
