Kyrie is a legimate hero.

An unexpected one, but a welcome one.

Stay strong, brother Kyrie. Must be easy to give up your job when you've already made $160 million. But alas, keep at it.

He'll have plenty of time to go searching for the edge of the earth now.

If his goal is to be the voice for the voiceless why isn't he speaking?

Actions speak louder than words.

You ever heard that saying? Its pretty popular.

Yikes. We have two threads of the very same topic, posted in two different sections of the forum.

If he cares so much how about sharing his wealth?!

You can knock on Kyrie all you want but he donated a lot more than you can imagine.

Kyrie Irving’s KAI Family Foundation has been particularly active during the COVID-19 pandemic. SInce March, Irving has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to food banks, hundreds of thousands of meals to hungry, thousands of pieces of personal protective equipment to his late mom’s Sioux nation in the Dakotas as well as $1.5 million to help those WNBA players who couldn’t participate in the Bradenton “wubble.”

—Donating school supplies to 25 teenage girls in Kenya, Africa

—Donating 100 Book Bags to kids is Newark, NJ

—Donating money to Moms of Black Boys United for Social Change. In Brooklyn, N.Y.

I will be expecting him to send cheques to everybody following his lead causing them to lose their jobs.

Who is surprised the guy who isn’t getting the vaccine also thinks the Earth is flat? Sandy Hook was a false flag, the Moon Landing was faked by gays and Bush did 911.

He's losing out on a 200 million dollar extension because he doesn't want a needle in his arm, f'n nutjob.

Charity is its own form of power. It's all to feed his insatiable ego.

He can't feed his ego on the court anymore because he's the third-best player on his own team, so now's he's the "voice of the voiceless." He has no use for basketball anymore.

Kyries seems like a good guy, nobody is debating that. He's just making a stand that is almost as bad as his flat Earth position from an ideological standpoint. That said, he's not hurting anyone by sitting. Maybe Nets fans, but he doesn't give a shit.

Who exactly are these voiceless people?

The spiteful morons complaining online every day?

Those people?
