Surprised this limited series isn't more popular. It's amazing. While Squid Game or Octopus game is all everyone is talking about nowadays, this is actually one of Netflix's best Originals in a long while.

I really enjoyed it, I've seen some people complain about all the long monologues but it never really bothered me. Linklater was amazing as father Paul.

The Father did an amazing job. I wonder if he'll get nominated for an award for this. Had the makings of a top tier mini series up until last episode. I was really into it. Ending was a little bit of a let down for me though

Linklater was amazing as father Paul.

He and Beverly stole the show. Great performances.

SPOILERS BELOW:
I think what frustrated me a bit but then I realize that it's probably for the best so that it leaves the show from being too predictable is that they abstained from mentioning vampires throughout the whole show, and they also abstained from having Monsignor Pruitt/Father Paul realize he made a mistake by acknowledging that "it" wasn't an angel after all.

Unless he knew from the beginning it wasn't an angel and knew that it was a vampire, but didn't care anyway cause all he wanted to do was save Mildred.

Bev was simply awesome too. :applause:

The first few episodes it appeared as if Riley was the protagonist. His character was kind of dull though. I'm glad the story shifted away from him more and more as the series went on. But I digress, don't want to spoil it for anyone

My father is a non practicing Catholic (Irish) and my mom baptist. I mainly attended protestant churches growing up but I did go to quite a few masses with my dad's family as a kid. I didn't even realize I still knew the all the words to the Lord's Prayer until I saw this series. It's been a long time since I've been to church :oldlol:

It was good. And Linklater of course killed it and will probably win or at least be nominated for an Emmy.

The 3rd and 4th episodes got to be kind of a slog with the 6 minute monologues though. I kind of just wanted it to end. Although I never really went to church; my wife kept commenting on how accurate it is, which I guess is impressive.

Episode 6 was great.
