He destroyed the top 100 players lists scoring 0 finals mvps, that's for sure.

Steph doing Steph things.

Where other players try to win by scoring as much as possible, he won by scoring nothing.

Next level. An original.

He'll go down as the greatest player of this era and he didn't need ESPN forcing the narrative upon us.

After all, it is a team sport

Gotta respect him for that...

He always chose the team winning, over his own empty stats.

Someone else would have more titles if he did the same.

Many less embarrassments too

Maybe even some damn respect

LeSelfish has always been his own worst enemy.

He's also the only player to be 3-1 vs Lebron in playoff series.

penetrators are met at the rim with multiple defenders, so only elite jumpshooters that can blow the game open get doubled-teamed.

How he managed to beat LeBron, esp in '15 & '18, is the stuff of legends

Same with 2016 when he beat Warriors with no Curry, Iggy, Dray, Bogut :lol

He best a 73 win team tho!!!

Yeah. That team wouldn’t of won 50 wins, never the less 70 plus.

Lebron couldn't do what Hakeem, Dirk, Kawhi, Kobe and MJ have done (win a Finals with low production from teammates)

Lebron always needed an equal-scoring partner to get elite 1st option stats because Lebron himself can't win with high scoring - his high scoring is too inefficient at the higher jumpshooting volume (2015) or ball-dominant (2009)

Curry, Iggy & Dray missed 1 game combined in that series, not quite the same as Kyrie/Love playing 1 game combined in 2015

He won in 2013 with Wade averaging 16 ppg, literally one of the lowest ppg for a title winning 2nd option ever

See the bolded below that you apparently missed:

Lebron couldn't do what Hakeem, Dirk, Kawhi, Kobe and MJ have done, aka win a Finals (win the league) with low production from teammates

He needed Wade to outscore the opposing 1st option in 2013 Finals, while AD led the entire league in playoff scoring in 2020 and Kyrie matched his scoring in 2016 - so he never won a Finals while carrying the team, aka without dominant teammates

Ultimately, it's a skill deficit - Lebron always needed an equal-scoring partner against the best teams (Finals) to get elite 1st option stats because Lebron himself can't win with high scoring - his high scoring is too inefficient at the higher jumpshooting volume (2015) or ball-dominant (2009)

2013 Wade: 19.6 ppg on 53%TS
2009 Gasol: 18.6 ppg on 65%TS
2010 Gasol: 18.6 ppg on 56%TS

So yes, if Gasol counts as low production from a teammate, 2013 Wade does too :lol

Wade outscored the opposing 1st option though - so that's the caliber that Lebron needs - he needs his sidekick to outscore the opposing 1st option (13' Finals), or he needs his sidekick to outscore the entire league in playoffs (AD), or he needs Kyrie to match his scoring and destroy Curry.

So he needs dominant teammates to win Finals (win the league), while Kobe won with less dominant, lower-producing players (Pau produces less than AD or Kyrie, and performed lower than Wade outscoring the #1 option)

So did Gasol

2009 Finals
Gasol: 18.6
Hedo: 18

2010 Finals
Gasol: 18.6
Pierce: 18

You're thinking of Kawhi's 2nd option in the 2019 finals.

Siakam: 19.8PPG on 56% TS

Curry: 30.5PPG on 60% TS

Nah but seriously Curry is the only player ever that gets double teamed consistently even without the ball because of how deadly he is.

I think he's offensively the best player ever because of his gravity combined with his shooting ability makes him virtually unstoppable. Even when he's not shooting he's causing major problems for the opposing defense it's unreal

Curry was up 3-1 averaging 21 points in the first four games. Took the league intervening and injuries to lock the Warriors down.

John Lucas did this, John Lucas did that April 15 of '84. How could you doubt John Stockton came up with a crazy statline like that from time to time.

Considering Bosh, Miller and Allen went scoreless in game 7, you're right.... luck was on the Cavs side.
