Nike D'Antoni

18 point turnaround. Lakers were down 10, and now up 8. Carmelo Anthony is coming very huge.

So much better when Russ is pushing the tempo and lebron is a spot up shooter

Brook turning a top 2 player ever into a spot up shooter :facepalm

Nike D'Antoni

Shake it off Bron.

Nike D'Antoni
10-24-2021, 10:26 PM
Wow. thats right there shows you Lebron age. He used to take 10x worse than that hit, and felt nothing.

Brook with more shots than Bron or AD. someone stop this madman.

Nike D'Antoni

LeBron has looked every bit the 37 year old in year 19 so far this season. Just very limited. That jumper obviously isn't sustainable. As he's gotten older though he basically doesn't get going until like March. So I'll hold out hope for that.

The jumper might be sustainable. It's entirely possible that he put more work into it than ever knowing Westbrook was coming in. I would agree with you it's unlikely, but he might have a career jump shooting year from deep.

Grizzlies are on back to back if you consider that Lakers look unimpressive.

lakerstekkenn

It looks like Russell doesn't want to be a Laker the pressure might be to much for him to handle or he's doesn't gel with this team.

Russell can't be this bad on both ends it's not possible.

Lakers would have been way better off keeping KCP/Caruso and not getting Westbrook. It's so obvious yet Pelinka didn't see it?

Seriously, this Lakers team might end up as a play-in team again lol.

AD needs to hit MVP-candidate level if this team wants to make a deep playoff run.

Melo can't give us this on a consistent night because of his age Russell should be the one on fire hitting jumpers he's still young enough to keep a steady scoring energy pace.

Is it possible James asked for Russell ? remember James has a history of playing with multiple all stars with old veterans, Russell isn't working out this time and the veterans can't hold the fort until Russell's jumper starts falling, if they would've just kept the original core when they won the championship they would be a better team still contenders but it looks like James wanted three all stars again.

twitter comments from Lakers fans about Jordan is always funny

Willingly signing DeAndre Jordan is bad

Willingly starting him is an act of terrorism

Frank Vogel still playing two big lineups with DeAndre Jordan he is a war criminal.

I don’t know where the Lakers would be without DeAndre Jordan in this game

Signing Deandre Jordan might be the worst vet minimum signing in NBA history

If Vogel wants to play DeAndre Jordan, it has to be in 3 minute spurts max. His conditioning right now makes JaVale McGee’s look like a marathoner

Pelinka saw it + Hield was coming too. LeBron/AD forced Lakers to go for Westbrook instead.

I don't believe especially with Phil's input Jennie would just blow up the championship Lakers team within one years time maybe James input screwed everything up.

AD got his ring in 2020 and basically forgot how to play basketball after that. The guy is 28 and should be playing the best ball of his career. But every facet of his game has taken a noticeable dip since.

I don't understand why he stands around at the 3pt line tbh. I don't want to see him taking 3s

Bron stacked enough that he has enough options to carry him on any given night

AD will do his part...then tonight it was Melo to do the carry job

Morant has destroyed the Lakers.

Frank Vogel is the true idiot here. Because he instructed AD, and then Bazemore to foul rather than allow Memphis to shoot 3.
This early in the season, and Vogel has no trust on his team defense?

What, they should foul. It's stupid to let someone shoot a 3. Problem is to not do it while they're shooting, like Baze

Try to stop them from shooting a 3 by your team defense, worst case scenario you give them an open way to the rim to attack for 2 points. But defend the 3, no foul on purpose.

That doesn't make any sense. How do you give them an open way to the rim? The whole point is to foul them before that happens..

Because they need a 3. You defend the 3 and sacrifice rim protection to ensure defending the 3 well. Keep your 5 players on the perimeter defending the 3.
If they go to the rim and score a 2, you are still ahead by 1.

But fouling them on perimeter with a probability of them shooting 3, is idiocy ( what AD, Bazemore risked).

I have no idea what you're on about. What you explained never happens with high IQ teams. Maybe teams that don't make the playoffs sure. You foul them before the 3. Baze is known for making really dumb decisions even though he's a good defender. He's the exception to the rule.

Westbrook and Lebron need to drive, so he needs to get out of their way. They need to find a way how all 3 can be effective on the court at the same time.

Lakers wouldve been forced to pay Dennis Schroeder 4/80 million because they have no PG. I rather have Russ for 2 years than Dennis for 4 years. At least Russ is an expiring next summer so teams would take him if Lakers attach a player or a pick.
