View Full Version : Lakers would easily win chip if KD replaced Lebron

Note, this has nothing to do with their all time rankings or how much I like each player...but KD is the best player in the league and would fit with Westbrook/AD/the rest of the Lakers better than 37 year old Lebron.
Lebron's lack of elite scoring skills is only getting more obvious as he ages, and playing on this Lakers team with some of the worst spacing in the league is also making things worse.
Honestly, I just hope Bron stays healthy these next two years to pass up Kareem on the all time scoring list. Lebron realistically only has another 2-3 years left of possibly being a top 10 player in the league. He can't play forever and I REALLY do not want to see him in the NBA pulling a "wizards Jordan". It would be best for Bron to retire as soon as he cannot be a top ten player in the NBA.

That is why he won with Rondo, AD and company year 2 with the Lakers? And durant has not won a single thing with Westbrook/Harden and now Kyrie/Harden/Aldridge/Blake Griffin.
Your lack of basketball knowledge is getting more obvious with every new post made by you.

He's going to pass Kareem unless he has a career ending injury. He could score 15 ppg for 3 years in a row to get it done.
To further elaborate, he could score 10 ppg from this day forward and as long as he plays 82, he would be done in less than 4 seasons.
If he averages 20 ppg for two full seasons, he's also there.
In other words, he's there.
The only question is health. Literally the only one.

What does two years ago have to do with my post talking about this years' Lakers? KD was literally injured the whole year two years ago and the 2020 Lakers were a better team than this year.

Nothing is guaranteed with Bron's age/mileage. We saw how Kobe's career completed cratered with one injury, and Lebron is MUCH older with WAY more miles than Kobe had when his achilles gave out.
Lebron doesn't have the record until he literally gets it. Kareem was an outlier even among outliers, and he was washed when he end his career. My whole point is I don't want to have to see Bron struggle through tons of injuries and 15ppg seasons to get the all time scoring record. He's gotta do it ASAP.

It's as if you skipped over the part where I said the only question is health.
Otherwise? He's there. It's not an if, but a when. Health aside.
