Take the dynasty Bulls teams and have their peak be at 1981 exactly 10 years back, how many titles do they win in that 80’s era?

With Pippen = 2-3 chips
Without = 0 chips

Something like this. Obviously, no chips without Pip, even in the 90s.
Though I'm leaning more towards 1-2 chips with Pip in the 80s. I would need to know who the Bulls' 3rd All-defensive big man/elite rebounder was, aka Grant/Rodman.
Jordan couldn't get past the second round, even with Pip alone (see 1995 playoffs). He needed a Grant/Rodman as well.

Fair point

W/ Pip & Grant/Rodman = 3
W/ Pip = 2
No Pip = No chip

All I know is those Celtics Bulls series would be fun to watch.

The 90s Bulls would, at worst, be the 3rd best team over the course of the decade. Whatever years they are able to get past Boston or Philly to represent the east, they're going to obviously mostly run into the Lakers. I think the 96 Bulls and 86 Celtics is actually a great series. So would be the 97 Bulls and 87 Lakers. Maybe the 91 Bulls beat the Celtics and then take out the Rockets. 83 Sixers and 93 Bulls is interesting, potentially. They would be dealing with Moses and an aging Kareem in the 80s, but they were dealing with prime Ewing and young Shaq in the 90s. The frontline matchups of Pippen/Grant or Pippen/Rodman on Mchale/Bird is interesting.

If I had to guess they'd win a maximum of 3, but I don't see less than 2. Which means the Lakers aren't winning 5 nor are the Celtics winning 3. It could be an even spread of chips, the Sixers may still win one, and Detroit still winning in 89 and 90 if we follow the trajectory that the Bulls are broken up by then.
