In all of the games I've watched so far this season, it appears to me that the refs are allowing the play to be a little more physical than they have the past few years. Even beyond the no foul-baiting rule, it looks like they're allowing defenses to actually work. Anyone else notice this, or am I seeing things?

If this is actually going on, could end up being the best season in a long time.

They definitely are but there's still room for improvement.

The refs need to get back into mid-season form too right now they're just running laps

Yea I've watched a few games and it seems better. Too early to say though.

Apart from baiting fouls another thing that should be changed is not calling follow-through fouls especially on shooters. If a guy hoist a three and the defender contests and hits him on the arm or makes body contact after the ball is already released that's not a foul. It would allow defenders to contest more shots. All those three shot fouls seem out of place.
