Coach liked him:
“He’s pretty advanced, particularly defensively,” Portland coach Terry Stotts said. “Even though I knew he was a scorer and rebounder, he has a good basketball IQ. He’s made an impression on everybody.

Yada yada yada…..

Over 400 pounds.
If you have anything cute to say better not let Dame see it. He didn’t take kindly to some article on the matter.

The worst part is he's only 24 years old. No reason to believe he won't get much worse as he gets older. I read his dad passed away at 500 pounds.

At least they didn't pass on anybody good for fat bastard. All American to eating himself that's weird.
That draft was terrible looking back. Fultz has a shooting disability, lonzo ball is just Doug Christie, Jonathan Isaac is a religious freak bust, fox should be somebody like ja morant but clearly isn't as good, Dennis Smith Jr was supposed to be Westbrook and he sucked.
The superstar was tatum I guess and he's not really best in the world material. Mitchell was a nice steal. Rest of draft was a joke.
I saw the video below about him some time ago. He had a major weight problem as a child weighing 300lbs by age 12 but was taken in by a former AAU coach who trained him. He had basically slimmed down to LeBron's size at roughly 6'8" 245 when he was drafted.

It should be considered child abuse to allow a kid to get to 300+ lbs. That means you're overfeeding them a bunch of shit food, and making them food addicts. I remember the Maury show used to bring in super obese kids that were eating bigger meals than an NFL oline man and parents couldn't figure put why they were so fat. :lol :facepalm

Yeah, I don't get why people are kicking him when he's down.
I had no problem making fun of Cheese Burger Eddy Curry, or anyone else who's paid millions of dollars to literally exercise and play a game.
But this guy has been out of the league and isn't being paid.

:lebronamazed: that's crazy. It made me wonder what are the odds Zion Williamson goes that route? Or does he have too much talent and a stricter training staff surrounding him for that to happen.

I just don't get it. If millions of dollars are on the table I'm ****ing starving myself is necessary.

Even if there was no money was on the table I'd be scared shitless once I eclipsed 300 pounds. To add another hundred+ after that is mind blowing.

Holy shit, what the ****.
I don't care if he was 400 lbs or 500 lbs.
Dead at 25? The only way you die at 25 of due to weight is if you're carrying that amount of weight AND you try to push yourself to an unreasonable degree. The articles all just say "natural causes" whatever the **** that means.
Well, RIP to the guy. That sucks.

Not really. Have you ever seen the show my 600 lb life? People in their 20s die all the time from that show. Heart can't take pumping blood to 500 lbs of weight for long even if you're just sitting around all the time. He clearly had a genetic predisposition to extreme food addiction if his dad was the exact same way.

Yup.
Pretty sad story tbh. Reminds me of both Big Pun and NY Giants backup QB Jared Lorenzen, both of whom essentially ate themselves to death in their 20s.
These kinds of bizarre genetic outliers are a part of life, and unfortunately if youre not able to more or less force continuous support on them, which isnt always possible, it can end tragically.
Edit: I guess Lorenzen was in his late 30s by the time he died, but still indicates a serious psychological mutation to die from obesity at that age.

Natural causes, aka his heart had to work extra hard with the weight he was pushing.

It is interesting how peoples brains are wired differently. For some people alcohol really clicks for them and they are completely unable to control it. With others they have the same wiring but with food instead of alcohol or drugs.

Same with things like gambling, physical affection, even things like exercise or learning. Theres the ‘normal’ range for each that most people fall in, but there are always extreme outliers in both directions.
For instance Lebron seems to have an incredible psychological addiction to winning.

I saw a study in rats where it was like, and give me some rope because I don't remember the exact percentages, but 70 or 80% of rats were addicted to sugar and 30 or 20% of rats(the rest) were addicted to alcohol. Point being, 100% were addicted to either alcohol or sugar.
And honestly I can see the same thing for humans.
So many people are addicted to sugar and just flat out don't realize it. Bread, pasta, sweets, etc.

Like, I think you live in LA or claim to right? Are you just like... uh... trying to practice your acting skills on ISH or what is it exactly? Trying to break into show business?
I know damn good and well that you don't give that much of a **** about LeBron James.
