I hear smart on this one. I'm not a fan of him jacking up 3s but he has a point. And I think he may be alluding more to the fact that both tatum and brown are rather limited in their capacity to get the offense involved and moving for the whole team.

The problem has definitely been persistent with brad, kyrie, haryward, al at some point, rozier, etc having gone.

Maybe they are sick of smart shooting 1-10 from 3 every night

Tatum is leading the league in shot attempts while shooting 40%. Brown is also taking a lot of shots but at least he is making them.

I wouldn't pass to Marcus Smart either.

I don't know what Ime Udoka's plan is here, but he better get a reign on these idiots and do it quick. Its like there's some kind of "alpha dog" prick-measuring contest going on here, but to my eyes none of these nitwits has done anything that would qualify them as an alpha of any kind.

AI celtics has done better with less talent on the lineup than this current lineup, which is anchored largely on tatum and brown.

Browns game is more conducive to team play. Tatum got brainwashed by Kobe

Still better than brons 1-16 from 3 in his games since returning from that injury

I've been pretty impressed with Brown so far. Tatum though is in full chuck mode.

Who else should get it in the 4th other than those 2?

Smart is a better playmaker but streaky shooter

Brown is more consistent two way...

Tatum has higher ceiling scoring but chucks bad shots more.

Should add the whole comment for some context...

“I would just like to play basketball. Every team knows we’re going to Jayson and Jaylen, and every team is programmed and studies to stop Jayson and Jaylen,” Smart said after the defeat. “I think everybody’s scouting report is to make those guys try and pass the ball. They don’t want to pass the ball and that’s something that they’re going to learn. They’re still learning and we’re proud of the progress they are making, but they’re going to have to make another step and find ways to not only create for themselves but create for others on this team, to open up the court for them later in the game where they don’t always have to take those tough shots or take tough matchups when they do get the 1-on-1 and then you bring in a trap.

“Just reading that, it’s something that we’ve been asking for them to do and they’re learning,” Smart continued. “We just got to continue to help those guys do that and help our team.”

He's not wrong in that Jaylen and Tatum need to better playmakers and have to be able to create for others. Those two have the ball in their hands for more than half of the shot clock. It's easy for defenses to defend. Hence why our offense has been so crap the last 2-3 years. Those guys only know how to score, not involve teammates.

Thanks for that. That was what I was thinking as well. Yes, they have built the capability of being offensive threats, they can utilize that perception to further confuse the defense by being great distributors, or by setting up other teammates.

Watching the game. Smart is actually moving the ball around, setting plays. Giving the ball to tatum is deadend. Currently shooting 4/12 too.

Al Whoreford needs the ball.
