He found a loophole to stop getting fined. Fake being suicidal.

Whoever found the small print in his contract to stop getting fined while not playing is a genius. Can we trade him for levert or brogdon now please... He checkmated us..it is what it is...he won....just accept it n trade his azz already for whatever we can get for him

edit

What is difference between a psychopath and a sociopath?

Psychopaths tend to be more manipulative, can be seen by others as more charming, lead a semblance of a normal life, and minimize risk in criminal activities. Sociopaths tend to be more erratic, rage-prone, and unable to lead as much of a normal life.

he's a psychopath...the fact that he even thought this up proves just how manipulative he really is.lets just give him what he wants and get him the fk out of your lives. We will never one up him

I literally think that scumbag is the biggest POS to ever play in the NBA. I hope the 76ers don’t trade him. Let him sit at home for four years.

There needs to be new rules next time so players can't act like this. Any time a player acts like a total c*nt, the team has the ability to not pay them at all, keep them out of the lineup and be able to keep that money so they don't pay lux tax if they're above it. We can call it the Simmons tax rules.

Unfortunately my personal experiences dealing with people with mental health issues has me of the opinion that the best thing for any business to do when the situation starts going bad is to get rid of them. It's a truly sad thing but dealing with dudes like this is normally a loss.

And what? Waste 4yrs of Embiid's prime losing in 1st rounds without a 2nd option? And lose Simmons after 4yrs for nothing in return?

Simmons is getting traded. It's a question of when not if. They are trying to get Lillard, who has been playing terrible. Lillard's trade value is dropping this season.

Ben Simmons probably just screwed a lot of players out of money going forward. In the next collective bargaining agreement there is going to be hell to pay because of Simmons' antics. Owners are going to play hardball to make sure players honour their guaranteed contracts. There will probably be a "Ben Simmons" rule. Simmons might be public enemy #1 among other players in the league once the dust settles.

he has shrinks via pnba association ... but he has been removing or not trusting the 6'ers.
That said , 6'ers need to dump him sooner than later.
(their window to acquire the three players the Wiz got from LA won't happen .. no team will chance it now)

Set a precedent that you don’t fvck around. Everyone will respect it. They made movies about the Five Families for a reason. Grow a spine and you’ll stand tall.

Even with Lillard having a terrible start to the season I'd never trade a fringe top 10 player for Simmons. I honestly don't even know what kind of return they'd get at this point. I would never want a dude like this on my team after all the shit he's pulled.

100%. And to be fair, the league has to put a stop on superstars forcing their way out with multiple years left on the contract and gaming the system overall, it's not good for the health of the league when all the best players can just force their way out of good situations to form superteams with their buddies. In Ben's case, he's obviously not a superstar-level player and is untradeable because of it, which is why the Philly situation will be a hard one to resolve because Morey is not giving him up for peanuts + future picks. Ben is a ****ing idiot for not playing because all that does is make him less valuable of an asset.

I think this is reasonable. Dame might want to play for an eastern team if he wants more chances of advancing in the playoffs. The west is still a gauntlet, after all.

While players have more control in nba I still like them havin their leverage. Owners are billionaires and most billionaires would pay employees peanuts if they could.

Sixers have returned to fining Simmons 360k per game missed. He refuses to allow anything to be shared with team doctors. If he was having legit mental health issues, he would have been okay sharing paperwork or plan or something concerning the mental health issues with team doctors instead of hiding things from them.

Lol you think any sane person would trade Lillard for Simmons? Come on man. Simmon's trade value is so low, with such a high salary.. 76ers won't even get a bench player.

Say what you want about Ben but the Sixers should have traded him by now. They’re just causing needless drama and potentially upsetting Embiid with all this waiting for a perfect trade that’s never going to materialize. Ben’s value has tanked Morey should just accept what he can get and stop throwing a tantrum.

It has dragged on way too long, no doubt.

But it is Simmons and his camp that look more and more idiots by the day now.

Trade value is a seperate issue as to who has power between the player and the organization.

Simmons continues to dig his hole deeper, while the Sixers continue to win.

Go figure.

Glad they are fining him now. They shouldn't just let him do whatever he wants with no consequences. He is under contract.

Still in s way it could hurt his value even more if they are just as good without him as they were with him. His talent is obvious but they have a harder time getting value the longer this lingers. We can say what we would want our favorite team to give up for him but do any of us know what his market value is right now? Philly isn't going to deal him for some guy like Aaron Nesmith but that may be what they have on the table.
