They're mostly religious too, I bet. I think when you're brought up in a religious environment and you challenge something you're just told to 'have faith', so these people are basically conditioned to be stubborn about their beliefs without evidence from a very young age. And then you actively look for signs to pass off as evidence, reinforcing your beliefs. I would honestly like to meet one of these people and talk to them. I have a lot of conservative friends, but they're nothing like that. Most of them make okay money and only give a shit about having their taxes lowered, they aren't nutjobs like these guys.
