The King's body is literally falling apart it seems, he's missed a crazy amount of games as a Laker. Dude might not even be a top 20 player in the league when (if) he manages to break the all time scoring record.

His 2020 ring was super clutch because he might not even be a top 10 player anymore.

I was playing pickup games in my mid-30s. Once a week i was fine. Twice a week was a struggle. I was in good shape but basketball takes a toll and it takes time to recover.

Playing a NBA schedule at that age is really tough, especially given his size. Most of the guys who have been able to keep playing near 40 have been skinny shooters or bigs that don't rely on their mobility.

Probably more precautionary than anything.

This is where the Russell Westbrook signing has infinitely more value than having acquired Buddy Hield.

He is missing to many games to break it. Let's catch Karl Malone first and then think about the record, because it will take much longer than people think with all the injuries.

WeŽll see how Westbrook performs as a Laker. Whether he is a success or not. I like his heart and hustle, 100% effort, can't complain about that, but his decision-making and cutch-play is not the best.

True but that doesn’t really matter so much in the regular season.

Russ played really well for us in the 2nd half of the season. He was bad early on.

To think there were people who thought bron could win mvp this year.

True

17-6 record

23.0 PPG // 13.5 RPG // 14.0 APG (+6.4) (53.06 TS%) (38.7 MPG)

Here's hoping he does some of this when LeBron's out with injury.

Who thought that? I mean, he is turning 37 in a month, I think most fans expected him to have the type of season he is having, resting now and again to be 100% in shape for the post-season. If the Lakers make it.

Can't remember saw a few posts before the season. Not that he couldn't if he was healthy enough but between resting and injuries and coasting to save energy it was never gonna happen. He'll be one of the best players come playoffs though.

Probably time for his regular "injections".

this is why russ was signed. to rest bran

It was because bran always needs more help and Lillard didn't happen.

These bums have 2 wins in the league, and their only 2 wins came against the LeBron-less Lakers.
Can't make this shit up.
Just give LeBron the MVP already.

Dang, I guess the abdominal muscle spasms during his period were too severe this time around!
He's nearing 40 so his period should go away soon...
