If the GOAT debate was sorely about stats and how good you were as an individual player.
Then Wilt would be basically untouchable.
And If the GOAT debate was sorely about team success then Russell would basically be untouchable.

All time NBA scoring leaders
1. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 38387
2. Karl Malone 36928
3. LeBron James 35516
4. Kobe Bryant 33643
5. Michael Jordan 32292
Lebron is the 3rd GOAT.
Am I doing it right BranStans?

PER was invented by lebron loving media members and Jordan is #1 all time in career PER
10 scoring titles to 1
all time ppg average in playoffs and regular season
way more 40, 50 and 60 point games
way better mid range and free throw percentages
lebron might force more assists out of a ball dominant offense and grab a few more rebounds simply for being taller. but that doesn't equal wins. stats are subjective and situational scoring is way more of a telling sign of greatness. like when lebron goes silent and defers when the pressures high. he won't take a game winner when he's losing and prefers the game to be tied. he's way more passive unless it's some leastern conference bums.
Jordan's defensive stats are better as well. OP needs a break from this place. honest to God steve give it a rest

Jordan is in a class all by himself in terms of peak playoff stats...
Playoffs 1986-1993 (107 games)
34.9 ppg, 6.7 rpg (1.6 o), 6.6 apg, 2.3 spg, 1.0 bpg on 58.1 %TS (+4.5 rTS) with 3.3 topg
Finals 1986-1993 (17 games)
36.3 ppg, 6.6 rpg (1.7 o), 7.9 apg, 2.0 spg, 0.8 bpg on 59.1 %TS (+5.5 rTS) with 2.6 topg

Dont forget free throw shooting. Lebron is the better free throw shooter and in fact, Lebron is the best free throw shooter of all time. He leads the most number of fts made in the playoffs. Name anyone that comes close. None. Lebron dominates the ft category as well.

Jordan averages 5 more points in the playoffs with better efficiency per possession - there's never been a player that averaged 5 more on better efficiency that wasn't considered the far better player.
And Jordan was scoring champ and top 5 DPOY from 88-98' - that's the goat standard of play and goat longevity of the goat caliber.
Ultimately, Jordan had the #1 production rate, aka he did the most per game - he's #1 all-time in PPG, plus-minus, PER, WS/48, BPM, VORP, clutch
