We already know about his monster sized ego. He can't handle criticism well. He's a clear conservative. Also his extra curricular stuff cannot be hidden by the media IE-gambling
Would he be the star he was back then today?
What do car mechanics know about social media?

jordan would only be more motivated and have more guys to make an example out of if there was more noise. instead of having to make up feuds with guys to go for big numbers he would use the fans instead and stick it to them after the game. Jordan loved critiques like kobe. they weren't beta males like lebron or Durant always making passive aggressive posts or shying away from a challenge

He was a sociopath who was getting motivated by criticism. Even when the whole world was basically sucking hiscock he was just making stuff up just to push himself even more. Media would never be a problem since he would use his acting and manipulation skills.
I don't see gambling being an issue either. Only problem would be his psychotic behavior against his teammates. We got much softer as a society and some of the stuff he said would be offensive today.

Not very well. Not over the long term, anyways. If you watched The Last Dance, he admits how burnt out he was at the end of the first title run and the constant social pressure / people stalking him. He needed a break.
He could find short term motivation. Long term motivation it would grind at his psyche and weaken him as a player.
His career would likely be very different.

Social media would make him a god because it would detail his dominance more than he experienced in his day, and it would reveal all the goat stories of reverence that everyone had for him
he would literally cry to his mommy OP

He would break down. Won't be able to handle it. Probably not even finish college. Such a difficult time we are living in. He was so weak minded he probably would have been just a regular gamer stuck at home in his 20s-30s.

The aura would be ruined, because you'd seen him react badly to many things given his nature.
He'd be a mess. He'd wanna challenge any jackass on twitter who criticized him to a game of one on one.

He definitely didn't like it when news of his gambling hit, or when the book Jordan Rules came out.

Shaq had Kobe... Durant had Curry... Lebron had Wade, AD and others.
Only MJ didn't have a dominant sidekick and infact had a low-producing one compared to the aforementioned juggernauts - social media would make this obvious - Pippen wouldn't get away with trash stats or Pandemic P caliber and therefore wouldn't be considered a star..

I don't think he would do well but it's kinda funny to imagine MJ posting his golfing and gambling photos on there and beefing with Charles.

One thing for sure is MJ would definitely have an account on ISH. No doubt he'd take the criticism on here personally. A 17 year old OJ Mayo rattled him. He'd be stuck in purgatory here

We've seen what MJ looks like in the modern era.
Ultra athletic guard, bad shooter, okay teammate, emotionally aggressive, likes to shoot = Russel Westbrook

He got pissed when asked about him being at the casino at 230am the night before a playoff game. Quit doing interviews until setting up a special interview with Rashad, addressing the issue. You could tell he was visibly shook about it.
Nowadays, people would look at anything they could to bring up shit on MJ. No way could he handle the pressure and bullshit that James had dealt with over the last 15yrs.

It's difficult to know because most people from MJ's generation just don't care for online fame the same way the younger generations do.
MJ was very good with the media though and knew exactly how to present himself publicly to be acceptable in polite society.
I'm guessing he would have someone run his SoMe and it would be quite boring. He'd have an Insta to recruit thots obviously and it would probably be known along with his gambling antics, but really we don't see a lot of pictures of what these people get up to, which is surprising considering how much whoring goes on, so there prob wouldn't be a lot of incriminating material.
Except Dwight, we know Dwight and his teenage baby mommas and him being a bottom for hung trannies.

"During the Bulls' 1993 NBA playoffs, Jordan was seen gambling in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the night before a game against the New York Knicks.[83] The previous year, he admitted that he had to cover $57,000 in gambling losses,[84] and author Richard Esquinas wrote a book in 1993 claiming he had won $1.25 million from Jordan on the golf course."
You're asking if this balding gambling addict could handle the hyper scrutiny of today's game? Fu** no.

With class, like Kobe. Unlike Ghetto Karen Lebron.

Is gambling a big deal today? I think nobody would care about MJ gambling unless if he can't pay.
He'll also have a PR company taking care of everything from his social media to what he says in public.

Yeah he'll have people hired to handle his social media.
Just like when Lebron had that "coming back home" to Cleveland letter from Miami.
Ain't no way that almost illiterate high school bum could ever write something like that.

I have seen Giannis grow in front of the press vid's as well as KD.
MJ would be very similar to how he would handle the press.

Absolutely not. Those.kids at least had a sense of humility. MJ does not. He has an obsessive competitive nature that he can be easily baited. Like I said before, a 17 to OJ Mayo brain ****ed him into a one on one. No way he could avoid it today.

Interesting. MJ would probably shoot 30% from the field in the social media era. Michael Brickdan would be a slightly taller Westbrook with better defense.
Also, he probably would have "retired" at least 5 times.
