Jordan never even faced elimination in the Finals. There's levels to this..

His lowest PPG in a series was 26.6 in 1997 against the Bullets.

And he was outscored only once by another player in his first playoff series against Milwaukee as a ROOKIE.

Terry Cummings 29.5.
MJ 29.3

It's crazy how good MJ was. LOL. His floor was most GOAT tier player's peaks/primes.

It's crazy to think that MJ faced Bird (2x), Isiah (4x), Magic, Barkley (3x), Ewing (4x), Malone (2x), Shaq (2x), Mourning (2x), Penny (2x), Drexler along with Kemp, Payton, Worthy, etc in the playoffs and not one of them outscored MJ in any series.

I heard he was 27 years old when he got his first championship ring. Was that also the year he was in contention for Most Improved Player?

Cant help players that are less talented at scoring and dont have the heart to take tough shots. They should just rightfully take less shots and compete with their teammates on rebs, etc.

Wayment!

You mean to say he took more shots than others, made most of his shots, and his team won more titles than most others while doing so?

Can anyone else confirm?

MJ shot the shit out of the ball. Of course he averaged a lot of points, he took a lot of shots.

Lol sounds like simply taking a lot of shots results to high ppg. Someone should tell marcus smart that so he can average 37ppg too.

Kyrie outscored Lebron in MANY series, while Wade and AD outscored him for entire playoff runs.

So Lebron is a low grade scorer that must dominate the ball excessively to score a lot, so he can't beat good teams with high scoring.. And his high scoring also reduces teammates to spot-up shooter.

Otoh, Jordan's elite jumpshooting skill allowed him to score a lot while the ball moves (so he could beat good teams with high scoring) and while teammates assist him (so his high scoring elevated teammates)

Hey Yo

Considering the opposing D let Jordan get his while concentrating on shutting the rest of the team down, it's not a surprise.

The fact that he’s MJ and really good at basketball probably helps. I didn’t say any scrub could average 30 if they take 25 shots. I said that MJ never had low scoring games because he would simply keep shooting.

It’s wild how I don’t think I’ve ever seen you make a decent post lol.

But if they are teammates then some of them can even rob finals mvp votes from their first option, even if they average less than 10 ppg in the series.

This, 100%. People that don't understand or argue with this never got to watch Mike play in person. I'm 48, and did.
