Curry has a monster game...AD (who has looked like a lazy, injury prone shell of himself) has 1 decent game against Charlotte...AD MVP!
Kobe stans :facepalm

MVP Davis is coming.
Also lol @calling him lazy & injury-prone. He had to leave last game because of a stomach illness but he's played well this season. 0 games missed so far. Lebron however is more injury-prone than "Street Clothes" at this point.

The general consensus is he hasn't played very well compared to what he's known to be capable of. I don't know what you've been watching.

What? Leaving out the stomach illness game, he's on par with his usual MVP-level production :kobe:
Not his fault that the rest of his team sucks on D and that Russ finds ways to lose games in the 4th quarter.

Yeah, ok.
Troll thread is troll thread.
How? He was averaging 25/12/3 2.3 blocks 50.8%FG before the stomach illness game and just had his best game of the season.. He's back to being healthy and playing at his usual MVP level and you're telling me he's been injury-prone, washed up & lazy this season? He's leading the Lakers in almost every stat but assists again (scoring, rebounding, blocks and most if not all the advanced metrics after this game) and you want to dog him?

I'm saying there's players playing better than him and he's not even playing like he was during his first year with the Lakers. I have browsed Laker forums and seen what many Laker fans have been saying about him. Though they do seem to flip flop often.
I don't think AD is who Laker fans initially thought he could be in terms of trying to lead the team in the coming seasons. It might change after more experience winning though.

When Nikola Jokic sporting 13.1 BPM with .686 TS%, and Davis have 1.5 BPM and .547 TS%, it's hard to take posts like this seriously.

He's matching his 2019-20 production outside of the Portland game that he had to exit early from. He's played well but the team around him has been inconsistent to say the least. He's had two bad shooting nights out of the 10 full games played so far and is the only Laker who consistently shows up on D and on the boards. He's averaging 3.7 OREB a game right now which is tied for 2nd as well and is 3rd in bpg. He would also be top 10 in ppg and top 5 in rpg had he just sat out and not tried to play with a stomach illness. He's playing at a high level.

So far he's playing somewhere between his great, though clearly inferior to LeBron's 2019-20 season and his trash-ass 2020-21 season. Closer to the latter though.

Inferior? He led the 2020 Lakers in ppg, rpg, spg, bpg, PER & WS.. :kobe: He'll likely repeat that this season.

This is about LeBron again, isn't it?
It's ok, man. AD will get his chance to be the most valuable Laker.

He's been the most valuable Laker since day 1 because of his defense. This current team is doomed anyway with the way it's constructed, too many holes on D for him to fill up and the offense is not good enough to consistently get away with bad D from Russ and Melo and the role players. Lebron can still be elite in stretches but he's going to take as many possessions off as he can to save his legs.
And no, it's not about Lebron but people clearly hate on Davis because they want to treat him like a Pau Gasol when in reality he's one of the 5 best players in the league come Playoff time. Him and Lebron were 1a/1b in 2020 Playoffs but he's the best/most consistent player in the RS for this team and will now have to make up for Lebron's decline in the POs.

OP is in another thread making up LeBron clutch stats (thread that has nothing to do with LeBron mind you) meanwhile AD threw up an air ball at the end of the 4th quarter to send the game to over time yet he is now the MVP. :biggums:
The hypocrisy. :biggums:

AD is working his way back up to his championship season form and if he continues to have games like last night, he should at least be an MVP consideration (not favorite though). He just needs to stop shooting from the perimeter. His jumpshot is gone and needs to dominate the paint.

He air balled the game winning 4th quarter shot and he also missed the sealer in OT. :biggums:
With no Melo the Lakers probably lose the game.
