Top 50 Player Pool

For an updated player pool and vote breakdowns see the link (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ARaI3VCNauULLYL1Yu24HIRY768FYQdip56sp6uRFGk/edit?usp=sharing).

Everyone may post in this thread but only votes from serious contributors will be considered. Not everyone has to write an essay but there should be some justification or explanation and some coherent arguments being presented. I encourage people to be open-minded and willing to adjust their rankings in response to strong evidence. Debate and discussion is encouraged.

Bill Walton
:facepalm

He had TWO years as a star and he was injured for a large part of those years even. Have some standards.

He was the best player on a championship team. Not anyones fault he played few seasons injury free (i also don't value longevity that much). When healthy he was one of the best ever.

He was but people like Nikola Jokic should be getting votes if you care that little about longevity.

Bill Walton was on 2 championship teams, exactly what has Nikola Jokic won? Bill was that guy, like Larry Bird said, if bill stays healthy, we win. Nobody has said that about Nikola Jokic or any of the other players that are left.

He won one playing like 17 MPG, and exactly when has Jokic been in a position to win a ring? :lol

Hayes is gonna win this, but after he wins I'm gonna be kind of torn between Payton & Gervin. GP was obviously the better all-around guy, but man Gervin at his peak scored at such a high level with really nice efficiency too and often led his teams to the Conference Finals despite not having much around him.

Dude led the NBA in scoring during the late 70's with a 59 TS%, a TS% that high before the 3 point era was kind of rare.
