View Full Version : Branstans hate on all his superstar teammates but worship Pippen, Shaq and Gasol?
Is there a reason for it? Also the biggest KAJ fans since he has the most points ever and lebron is closing in.
Funny bunch.

Being number one on the All-time scoring list is an incredible feat.
But people should remember that Wilt or Jordan would easily be number one on the scoring list if they had played 20 seasons as Kareem did.
Wilt after his career had ended said many times that if he had known future generations would be so fixated on scoring that he would have never changed his playstyle the way he did after 1966.
And that he would have aimed to put the scoring record way out of sight for anyone else.
if Kobe is so great why did he accept 3 sidekick rings? They tried to pull same shit with Lebron but he made Wade, Kyrie (he would've stolen FMVP had Lebron been an inefficient player like Kobe), and Davis his sidekicks.
By winning more with less, in way less time. Also because he's better at everything basketball related.
I just think it's funny how you guys don't give credit to Irving, Wade, Bosh, AD, Love, Allen etc but suck on Pau, Pippen and Shaq like that. Also they are jealous and have serious resentment towards the guys who embarrassed lebron like Steph, Iggy, KD and Kawhi.
You think lebron 4/10 in 20 seasons with superteams is more impressive than 5/7 in a 10 year prime? Kobe almost 3peated with Pau just to shut dumb people like you up who claimed he only won with Shaq. Those last 2 rings are worth more than those EC superteam rings (even kobe's first three peat>) and that bubble ring hijacking that fmvp because he's a frontrunner. Disgusting.
What about KAJ getting carried by Magic and Worthy? How fmvp's did he have?

Kobe could've won it too. But yeah Wilt's weaknesses was his mental delusions, low iq, unskilled, master of none like lebron, guys who didn't have to work for what they got because they were physical freaks. Could play many sports and was a freak athlete in his 20s.
More meltdowns from tirana.

I don't think calling Shaq great equates to worshipping him but ok.

Why is Shaq lumped in with Pippen and Gasol? No insult to Pippen or Gasol, I like them both they're great players... but Shaq is in another league compared to them.

Why are you making threads about superstars when you're obviously clueless as to what the definition of one is.
Silly kids.

OP I have asked you repeatedly not to use the term “branstans,” and I have explained to you that it is a pejorative and is considered offensive in the basketball community.
Now I’m getting real sick of having to tell you again and again. The next time you do it, I will take a screen shot and I will tweet it publicly and have you cancelled. It’s that simple.
I dont WANT to do that. Id rather everything be kept civil and productive. But if you force my hand, I will not hesitate.
Are we clear?

Who is out there claiming Wade, Bosh, AD weren't great second options? Even Irving and Love were pretty good with the time they had as LeBron's teammates. It's a matter of being objective.
Irving is not a great player outside of his scoring. And the way he's played since going to Boston has exposed a lot of holes in his game and has made LeBron winning with him all the more impressive. Kevin Love in his prime was arguably a better player than Irving, and even he had holes that could be exploited. Pau was still at least a great two way player who could also rebound and had a high basketball IQ. He was easy to play alongside. Pippen is one of the greatest defensive players at his position and was one of the best all around players in the 90s. Shaq is Shaq. This all goes without saying. Bosh isn't on any of their levels except for Pau. Wade gets the credit he deserves.
I don't get what the point of this thread is. To point out that some of LeBron's most notable teammates were extremely flawed? This is a true statement.
And yes, LeBron going 4/10 is far more impressive than Kobe going 5/7. I don't care that Kobe did it in a shorter time span on one team. He wasn't the best player for three of them and the other two he won against don't compare to the teams LeBron beat, not to mention how poorly he played in the last one. If you don't bother applying context to your logic, then it immediately falls apart the moment someone points out what's wrong with it.

5/7 > 4/10 is more impressive if you take in consideration how many good/great teams Kobe had to face and beat in the west before the finals
In comparison to the cake walk east

Not really. There was never a season that Kobe won the NBA Finals where his team was ever the underdog, and there was even one situation where he lost and it was one of the greatest upsets in the history of the NBA. Yes, I do agree that overall, Kobe's playoff competition before the finals was superior, but it's irrelevant since in the end, the Lakers were always better anyways. It was a situation where they should have won and usually, they did.
And then when the finals are factored in, the gap widens.

But kobe had help as well.

Because it fits their bullshit agenda. LeBron has played with as much talent as any player in nba history.
Miami heat were a 47 win team + added prime Chris bosh
Kyrie Irving led the greatest offense ever last season and won 58 games for nets. He also hit the biggest shot in finals history in 2016 and dominated curry.
Kevin love put up Barkley numbers in 2014.
Anthony Davis is a top 3 most efficient playoff scorer in nba history.

Imagine hyping up Chris Bosh, Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving and post-2013 Dwyane Wade while simultaneously shitting on peak Scottie Pippen and peak Shaq. :oldlol:

Because the more Shaq, Gasol, and Pippen are elevated diminishes the greatness of Kobe and MJ. Bronvestites will say their -86 King never had such help to explain away the 4-6 record. It's their last resort.

You just mentioned 4 people vs 2. Thats all that needs to be known
Bosh and Wade production combined is more than peak Shaq production
Same with kyrie + love vs Pippen
Kobe and Jordan need one star for a positive or perfect finals record
Lebron with 2 allstar by his side, negative record
If he was sooooo greater than everyone else, he should at least have a positive winning record

uh yeah. it's called sustained greatness. lebron's been competing for championships for more seasons than mj's entire career in chicago.
