View Full Version : What's Talen Horton-Tucker's potential?

I think he can be something special. He's in his third season at the NBA level and is about to turn 21 in a few days.

I honestly think he's a consistent 3pt shot away from being 2011-2015 roleplayer Kawhi-tier.

I'm not sure if he'll ever be more than that... he could be, but we'll see.

Smarter Dion Waiters. Dude isn’t shit Lakers are delusional lol. Cost themselves a ring by not trading him for Lowry lmao

He's got talent for sure, but the times I've seen him play, he seems very low IQ. He does a lot of boneheaded things. For that reason, I don't see him ever being Kawhi-tier or even close. Of all the 2nd or 3rd year players I see having potential for greatness, Horton-Tucker isn't one of them.

Wouldn't mind seeing him in the starting lineup with LeBron.

They weren't winning shit with a hobbled Lebron and an injured Davis...

Anyways, he has All-Star potential as he's only 20, most likely not on the Lakers as he's their only tradeable asset at this point.

He might be the guy LeBron hands over the reins to once he retires, because we all know AD can't lead shit.

Lowry would have helped them last long enough to potentially get healthy and also butterfly effect if the trade happens maybe they’re both healthy.

You're right but this thread isn't about the potential Lowry deal.

If he is not on Lebron James team, nobody would care about him.

Yeah... cause nobody paid attention to the Lakers pre-2019

Man dude is still 20 years old. Give him a little time. He definitely has potential

I can't believe no one has said his exact comparison.

Eric Gordon. a SG/combo guard with a 6'3-6'4 stocky frame that can ISO, play defense, and is a decent passer.

If the Lakers are able to get a healthy Eric Gordon production out of THT, that's a win. Hate when people have tried to say he could be a Kawhi or Harden type player.

He's a combo guard that can play bigger than his height due to wingspan and girth.

That's actually a good comparison. I never really thought of Gordon/THT comparison until your post. THT is very young too, which is great. The only thing that has been missing from him is consistency and poor decision-making at times, but both he can improve on.

Eric Gordon's wingspan is only 6-9; THT's is 7-1 and some change. In that regard he's closer to Kawhi, whose wingspan is 7-3. THT has that same ability as Kawhi to get under the ball/dribble on defense.

I think a blend of Eric Gordon and 2011-2015 roleplayer Kawhi is on the money.

He has the potential to massage Lebron’s ball sack with his tongue before and after games.

That’s if he’s lucky.

I still think THT with better development and coaching is a potential starting caliber guard.

No. If you look at what I posted on the first page of this thread a month and a half ago, that's still my opinion.

You know that old saying about how if you fail, you should keep doing it and shouldn't let whatever you failed at bother you?
Yeah, whoever told THT's 23% 3 point shooting bum-ass that about his 3-point shooting needs to slap it back out of his head.

He has literally been encouraged to be a 3 and d guy but only has a reverse layup in his arsenal :biggums:

The Lakers are looking like a joke and it stems from the top. There's literally no way LeBron or any other player could snatch a chip under these circumstances. Including MJ.

I said he was garbage a month ago and @Johnny32 said I was a casual :oldlol: some people just play a lot of 2k and think long arms makes a good defender and basketball player inherently
